got popped this morning on the arm...that old familiar sting...oh well...had a pretty long run without getting hit...i need a "ouch" emoticon... ...but this one works...

I'm not such a woman. I had one wrap around both ankles, and the toes too. Thirty minutes of standing in saltwater made it all better though. Poor Greenroomsurfer had to listen to me gripe until the sting wore off.

Ouch. I saw three out in the water down by the old Camp Helen pier. One was laying on the beach, one barely off the sand in the water, and one big daddy black one about 20 feet out that was huge. We walked past the one laying on the sand twice right beside it. Glad we remembered where it was. And we were not in the shallow water by the one floating barely off the beach thank goodness. It was orange looking. Yuck. Saw plenty off the Dan Russell pier. They are always present.

And speaking of yellow bikinis. My husband and I saw a girl on Front Beach Rd. in a yellow polka dot bikini. You can imagine what we started singing. The song, Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini.

Only the Windex with Ammonia White Vinegar is cheaper though and works even better sometimes.

Best cure is to just stay in the salt water. Thirty minutes later- no stinging. But I probably should take a little Windex with me in case the Gulf is not as perfect as yesterday....

So let me see if I understand your thinking. It sounds like you are saying that if you go into the water and get stung by jellyfish, just stay in the water for 30 more minutes and all will be well?

I do know know that staying in the water, you don't feel the sting, but when you come out of the water and the air hits the sting, OUCH!, but when you get shocked by an electric fence, it is difficult to want to touch the fence again.
