Don't you love us anymore?

Edited
Kings Island? Funn!!!!
yep. we got season passes and are reliving our youth. i have discovered i am way to old for rollercoasters
It was a very non-busy day to say the least. The threat of rain kept everyone away so it was great. They said they were too jarred and shaken to ride anymore and they're 13! We rode the tame ones.
If you ever meet me, I do this on command. "I like to kick and stretch and kick...I'm 50!" Of course, I am now 53...but still kicking! This is one of my all time fav SNL characters!
I would love to see this in person. One of my favs too. yep. we got season passes and are reliving our youth. i have discovered i am way to old for rollercoasters

do you have a log ride or flume zoom where you get in the log and get a little wet? What's your fave?
No one is EVER too old for roller coasters.
No one is EVER too old for roller coasters.

I'm not too old, but my neck is. The last time I rode a roller coaster I LOVED it, but I couldn't move my neck for day.![]()
Good to see you back Audie.

Where have you been?! You got some 'splainin to do!
Don't you love us anymore?

True dat. So when was the last time you went on a roller coaster? Two years ago at Six Flags here in IL.

I went on one at Six Flags in GA about 25 years ago, I closed my eyes and PRAYED for it to END!!! (of course, I get butterflies just swinging too high....

Amen sista.
I went on that on our vacation to the shore. If you don't know, I fear heights, so figured the Pirate ship didn't look that bad.
I screamed the first 1/3, MANgo laughed, then I stopped screaming as it got higher, turned ghastly white even with a tan, MANgo NOT laughing anymore repeating over and over, "don't look down, don't look down".
Not to mention that I felt like I was flying out of my seat.
I would go on any ricketty roller coaster any day before I go on that deceiving ride.
But, I did overcome my fear of heights and walked all the way to the top of a water slide. I went with my sister and MANgo coaxing me up.
Then I went 8 more times after that, and even went into the one that was a tunnel.

Mango, those people on the Pirate ship aren't screaming for nothin'!!!![]()
Dylan hates anything that gives him butterflies. Do you know the trick of flexing your stomach muscles? It really helps.
Audie-one of my favs at KI is the avatar ride in kiddie land...kinda reminds me of the pirate ship except you have that extra fear of the car breaking off and flying away.

Kings IslandSo many funn memories. When my kids were little we used to go as a family (all 25 of us with all their little cousins).
We rode the Beast the last run before they closed it for rain. They should have closed it before we went on it. It was so much faster and scarier in the rain. I had a blast! However my poor daddy got off that ride and kissed the ground.
love it !
let me rephrase that - my body is too old
don't do water rides - hate walking around soggy all day
i hear ya about the neck
you of all people should know better than that.....

No one is EVER too old for roller coasters.

Mango, those people on the Pirate ship aren't screaming for nothin'!!!Thanks for the tummy tip, but I won't be riding that anytime soon or ever again..![]()

I wish this were true...the pain just isn't worth it anymore. I was reading an article the other day that said teens seek out thrills from scary movies/scary rides/roller coasters due to a chemical imbalance in their brain. It was really interesting. I'll choose to get my thrills elsewhere.
I hate scary movies, so that doesn't explain my excuse for any chemical brain imbalances.

Y'all will be happy to know, then, that both the Pirate Ship and the Looping Starship have been removed from Six Flags Over Georgia. Also gone: The Great Gasp, which didn't seem so great after the Acrophobia thing was put in. I hear that Free Fall is next, due to lack of interest and malfunctions in other parks.
For all you wusses out there, Monster Plantation is still running. The monsters are a little bit old and moldy after all these years, though.
I LOVE me some roller coasters--the bigger, the better. I love Superman, love Goliath, and Deja Vu makes me laugh until I almost hyperventilate/vomit. If I were a gazillionaire I would put one in my backyard. I teach at a fine arts camp in the summer, and we go for a day. All I do is ride the big coasters as many times as I can.

Teenagers? Imbalance?
I pick my scary movies carefully (narcolepsy provides plenty of scary nightmares, thanks so much,) but I still get a kick out of some of them.
Not the first time I've met up with a definition of imbalanced...heh, heh...

Residue, schmesidue--If someone will find that one for me and send it with the SoWal sticker, my bumper would be nicely balanced.

I guess the way I look at it, better it's roller coasters than something worse.Well, me either, nor my teenage son or Mr. JR.I guess the way I look at it, better it's roller coasters than something worse.
My son and his wife got me on the horrid ride one year that went around and around at a slant and at the same time the chairs would spin you around and around. I made the mistake of turning my head and it got whipped back and caused me to hurt my neck, not to mention I got sick at my stomach afterwards and had to get a Sprite. No ride like that for me ever again. It is still at the fair.My husband can't handle that one either.
