OK, this is the flip side to dd's question: What current popular song (sorry, jdarg!) are you embarrassed to admit you like? I'll confess first--"Bubbly" by Colbie Caillat.

I would have to say Sexy Back by Justin Timberlake. I am so not a fan of him, but I kinda of dig that song. Probably because my 4 year old loves it and we have to listen to it everyday. So, i guess it just kinda of grew on me!!!

OMG! Y'all must think I am terrible. :blush:I thought this thread was about "embarrassing songs," not "embarrassing songs you like." I despise the two songs I listed below. :yikes:They make me really uncomfortable.

Sorry, I was drive-by posting. I am really busy with work lately and don't have time to read many posts.

Well, if you look up the lyrics, get ready to catch your breath. It's hard to believe that "songs" like exist. Especially for those of us who remember when the Rolling Stones had to change the lyrics of "Let's Spend The Night Together" to "Let's Spend Some Time Together" when they were on the Ed Sullivan Show.

Times have definitely changed. I just know about these songs because my daughter is a college student and listens to this stuff.

I was in the car today and heard a song by Akon/Snoop dog. Let's just say there was a line in there that def got my attention. :yikes:

Rihanna - "Umbrella"
Gwen Stefani - "The Sweet Escape"
Gym Class Heroes - "Cupid's Chokehold"
Gym Class Heroes - "Clothes Off!" (Not incredibly embarrassed by GCH, actually. But these two songs will get stuck in your head. Forever.)

I love Mika. Not normally a dance/techno girl but I love him!

The only song that this make me think of is Finger 11's Hypnotizer.. I don't get the lyrics at all, but when it comes one I get lost in the beat. Not sure how embarassing that is :idontno:

I listen to some pretty outrageous stuff, but that would be another topic.

I'm not normally a Mika type either but I do love him. He's very talented for his young age. Even my 16 y.o. son likes him (even tho he has a strong female fan base).

He just seems like such a funn character - someone that I would love to hang out with. It doesn't seem like I feel that way very often. Even though his music is really produced dance stuff (for the most part) you can kind of feel his spirit in the songs.

And Grace Kelly just makes me happy. I smile every time I hear it.

At least your consistant.

Thought of another one to add to my list.

Me too. Eyes Without a Face is good too.

Getting back to Mika tho, he is incredible on the piano and is a trained opera vocalist. His range can reach 4 (??) octaves which is why he reminds me of Freddie Mercury. Plus, he's pretty cute.

Very much so Freddie. But he is like Freddie without trying, if that makes any sense. That's why I :wub:him so.
