Anyone else have a rough day?

hmmmm......can't remember

I'm tempted to say that today was just one of those days, but it really wasn't. (YESTERDAY was one of those days--if it could go wrong, it went wrong, and it was awful. But that's not my point.) Today nothing bad really happened, but I still felt like killing just about everyone in my path. I even got in a screaming fight with this dude at school over socialized medicine. (He started it. And don't make this thread about socialized medicine, or you're next on my s#!+ list!)

Tonight I had to go to a rehearsal, where I saw a bunch of my "kids" for the first time in a while. I told one of them, "Hey, I love you, too, and I'm glad to see you, but I might just punch you in the face for no reason tonight." She told me that she was feeling exactly the same way today, also for no reason. Then another girl in another conversation told me the same thing. Then my mother told me that a friend of hers acted the same way toward her today, and my littlest nephew was all out of sorts, too.

Anyone else having that sort of day? Is it the barometer? Is it global/regional PMS? Is it solar flares? Is it Ron Paul's revolution? Is it de devil in my heart? Most importantly, is it still a good excuse to take a Xanax before bed?

This weeks moto for me should be "A f*** up on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine." I mean, really. Why should I have to be the one to jump through the hoop?

And when I ask "when do you need your parts for testing?", "Yesterday" is not an acceptable answer!

EXACTLY!!! That's the kind of day I had yesterday. I had to open up a few cans, if you know what I mean. What is UP?!

(p.s. I got your message, Chicken. I just haven't been in a frame of mind to answer it. I will, though...unless you needed it yesterday...)

Oh my gosh, NH both my daughter and I are feeling the same. Good thing I really didn't need to leave the house today. Sam said she "went off" on one of her friends yesterday and that is not like her at all. I was blaming it on our dreary rainy weather!!! Not sure tomorrows gonna be much better. :bang:

Let's just say that even after I get Alzeihmer's, I will still remember today. I should have seen the approaching Pit Bull this morning as a sign for what was to become with the remainder of the day's events. As it turns out, it was nothing that a few Dargaritas, some Motrin and 24-72 hours of rest won't cure, hopefully!I'll summarize by saying that today's event reminds me that I am grateful to be alive (VERY) and well.

No Hall, my bad day was last Tuesday. Leaving the beach after a nice weekend was nothing. Daughter called in a panic with serious "female problems." I thought I'd end up going straight to the Northside Hospital ER (you know, in Atlanta). Then I got a call on the way home saying I needed to get to the Newnan Hospital ER because Mom had fallen, broken a hip (for the second time), and might have surgery in a few hours (she had surgery the next day).:yikes:

That was a 2 Xanax, Temazepam, and glass of wine day.

OMG, you guys, what is going on in this town??? I'm trying to nest and prepare everything for the baby today and , the the belt on my washing machine breaks. Then part of a wooden wall on my front porch falls off and while I'm trying to prop that up so we don't look like white trash, the kids dump a whole bag of guinea pig food in the living room and break my broom trying to sweep it up.

And no, it is NOT the cycle of life neither because I stopped cycling a while ago.

Y'all make me feel so much better. So strange, though, that it was just a bad day EVERYWHERE. If misery loves company, then we're all doing really well, aren't we?

More bad news: It's raining and I can't work.

Wonderful, wonderful news: IT'S RAINING! (Thank you baby Jesus in your little galoshes!) I CAN SLEEP IN!!!

Beach Runner, I hope that your circumstances are getting better. I'm sorry about your mom...

Trust me, I'm usually not Little Miss Sunshine, but we are all blessed.

I'm watching the news right now about all of those displaced families in California, and at least we can be thankful that we all have our homes...

...and Fall has finally arrived in Florida!!!
