Anyone else have a rough day?

I'm tempted to say that today was just one of those days, but it really wasn't. (YESTERDAY was one of those days--if it could go wrong, it went wrong, and it was awful. But that's not my point.) Today nothing bad really happened, but I still felt like killing just about everyone in my path. I even got in a screaming fight with this dude at school over socialized medicine. (He started it. And don't make this thread about socialized medicine, or you're next on my s#!+ list!)

Tonight I had to go to a rehearsal, where I saw a bunch of my "kids" for the first time in a while. I told one of them, "Hey, I love you, too, and I'm glad to see you, but I might just punch you in the face for no reason tonight." She told me that she was feeling exactly the same way today, also for no reason. Then another girl in another conversation told me the same thing. Then my mother told me that a friend of hers acted the same way toward her today, and my littlest nephew was all out of sorts, too.

Anyone else having that sort of day? Is it the barometer? Is it global/regional PMS? Is it solar flares? Is it Ron Paul's revolution? Is it de devil in my heart? Most importantly, is it still a good excuse to take a Xanax before bed?

I don't know what it was, but yesterday was NOT good for me either. Wasn't a full moon, wasn't hormonal, just one of those things-are-irritating-me-that-really-shouldn't days! :idontno:

Trust me, I'm usually not Little Miss Sunshine, but we are all blessed.

I'm watching the news right now about all of those displaced families in California, and at least we can be thankful that we all have our homes...

...and Fall has finally arrived in Florida!!!
true dat...

OMG. I thought that it was just at our house. Nothing each one of us said made the other one happy.:pissed:

Not hormones, Ms Seaside aint got none ('Cept in a bottle), not a full moon, could have been the rain. :idontno:

We were at each other like cats and dogs in a gunny sack.

Not a funn day at all. I am glad it is over (I hope).

That's part of what made yesterday's mood so weird - usually events like that provide a much needed perspective/sense of thankfulness. :idontno:

You got tht right. ;-) Plus, on Oprah yesrerday, did you hear when Randy Pausch said one of his friends was asking him, 'What if you don't die. Aren't you worried about calling this your last speech?" He said to give him that problem. He would gladly live with that problem. :scratch:Really made me think. I gotta get off my :moon: and live the life I want to live. Plus I'm on a medrol dose pack for poison ivey and it's makin' me hyper right now. Maybe I'll clean the basement today!

Sometimes a little shake up is a good thing. I'll just stay in my own yard as much as possible and avoid grumpy uptight aholes as much as possible! Maybe I can get some things done!

Believe it!

But I found a good, non-prescription remedy: Mr. Darcy.

My husband wonders about me and that piece of literature.

No fair. That's a good day!

Spill it, mister. Did you spend the day building your own internet connection out of coconuts, professor?
No, but I did repair my phone line the other day after the Embarq repair man called and left a message that squirrels had apparently severed the phone line going into my house from the box, but I doubt I will remember that two weeks from now, much less when I get Alzheimer's.

Mr. Darcy.

Hohall, I just bought the movie. I can't understand a word they're saying, but it doesn't matter.

Poor SJ. Sounds like you're not having much luck with the animal kingdom of late. Hope it gets better.

Amazing, on so many levels... I hope this isn't going to be another example of "living in harmony with nature." Maybe you should have your whole lot paved.

But you still didn't tell us what happened.

My husband wonders about me and that piece of literature.

I don't wonder that he wonders. You have seen the BBC movie, right?

Hohall, I just bought the movie. I can't understand a word they're saying, but it doesn't matter.

Captions...love me some captions! I ordered the movie, but found all of it on YouTube last night. Sigh.

My copy came in the mail today! I think I'll probably fall asleep on the couch tonight. (No captions, so I'll have to use the captioning on the t.v. Why can't these folks talk good American?)

Its been a bad month for us. First our truck would not pass vehicle inspection, and we could not renew our license tags so we spent $1800 getting it repaired, and then one month later it is stolen out of our drive.

It has not been found and that is not good. Usually the found ones are within 2 days. The rental car has to go back next Wed and then we will get a measly check from the insurance company that might buy a scooter.
