This never happens to me.
Two black tie events, two nights in a row, two different cities. One in Tampa the other in O-town. Different people at each event. I will definitely be going shopping, but don't want to break the bank. Should I shop for one stupendously fabulous dress or try to find two somewhat less fabulous ones? WWBBD?

Anytime I walk into Saks I feel like I'm on What Not to Wear. 
The salesperson was very nice though and ignored my minimal makeup, wrinkled jeans and (of course) slip on sneakers. And, of course, I had a kid with me.

The more I look at the china blue color the more I like it...love it. You are going to look drop dead gorgeous. Take lots of pics...not just for us;-) but for your little girl. When she gets a little older she'll love to look at pictures of her mommy dressed up.

There were a lot of great choices, but I found a gown that is perfect for both occasions and will not require alterations or Spanx. It is by BCBG and it is in a drapey jersey fabric and in this color, called China Blue.OK, first of all, funniest line ever!
I love it.And I love BCBG--can't go wrong with a dress from there. The color and the dress are gorgeous, TFT. You almost make me want to go into a store and try on clothes. Almost.
