I needed to start this thread for a bit of pity and a momentary wallow in my misery.

:violin:

For six rental seasons, I have done the same thing. I arrive to our place and do the bi-annual change out of slipcovers. Washed the Summer covers, put them up and put on the Fall covers, which had been washed last Spring.

Mr. K calls me last night and says we got a bill for the deep clean. Fine, good. Then he read me the ridiculous amount they have charged us for DRY CLEANING all the slipcovers!!!! We even were charged for "upholstery cleaning" the outdoor cushions, which I always wash! So, I just washed slipcovers that were recently drycleaned (I told them to never do this). :bang:

Thank you...I feel better. I will be having a meeting today. :biggrin:

I'd love to be running mine, since it's 34 pucking degrees right now and the wind is blowing like a MoFo!!!! However, it's not working!!!! :bang::bang::bang:

Hopefully, the wind will blow the HVAC repairman here quicker.

That pucking wind about did me in. They took my picture at the dealership last night and the good news is, my face was covered by hair--blowing every which way. :blink:

did they take a pic of you because they hadn't seen a cusstomer in sooo long?

Okay...so I am a bit challenged right now, so after training Mr. K at the gym, our trainer came here to train me. He is a hoot. He is getting married and wanted to show me his suit online. It took forever to download (:roll:) so, he said puck this and downloaded firefox for me. (SJ has been telling me to do this forever) OMC...my computer is so fast now that it is like an aerobic workout! Not really a rant, more like a present! :clap:

I"m a True SoWaller, I get out of my car trust everyone and leave the keys in the ignition. yes, you can say i'm a little nuts but i'm an opptimist and believe in the good of all! SOMEONE STOLE MY iPHONE OUT OF MY TRUCK! PARKED IN FRONT OF MODICA! i hate that! spring breaker walks by see's my phone jacked in because the battery is dying and opens the door swipes it! :pissed::pissed::pissed:

:angry: that would make me mad also! It is a shame that there is not a way to trace stolen cell phones!

While living in SoWal I dont think we ever locked our doors to our house or our car. So no, I dont think you are nuts. :wave:

Or we could just make more of a concerted effort to lock up valuables instead of leaving them in plain sight. Some of the thefts were larger scale/planned, but we can certainly help out the po-po by reducing spontaneous crimes o' opportunity.

Criminals are lazy - make it difficult for them!

It would be more fun to catch somebody and post it on youtube, and difficult should you make it? Do you want to carry your wiper blades into the supermarket with you.;-) Someone stole the light off of my bicycle. Should I have stuffed it into my pocket?

No, that's definitely someone being a punk!

All I am saying is that I would rather someone put up the window and locked the car to keep someone from stealing several hundred dollars worth of electronics than have our limited law enforcement resources setting up a sting operation.

A Sowal sting streaming live might be the ticket!

Every year the ATL hooligans come down and rob us. Don't the roving gangs of bored rich housewives from BHAM come down in May to distract and steal?

P.S. I don't care what the issue is, don't throw down your bike to get in the car with your mom and drive off leaving the bike laying in the road.

P.S.S. I own a new bike!

Well, I jsut got word that the hooligans that just left my kondo BURNED a hole in the master quilt! You heard me...BURNED a hole! The good news is they are getting their a$$e$ charged. The bad news is they can only charge them for the quilt...not the shams, the curtains and chair that match. :bang: On the bright side, they didn't burn the building down.

Guess I'll be shopping when I get there. :wave:
