I needed to start this thread for a bit of pity and a momentary wallow in my misery.

For six rental seasons, I have done the same thing. I arrive to our place and do the bi-annual change out of slipcovers. Washed the Summer covers, put them up and put on the Fall covers, which had been washed last Spring.

Mr. K calls me last night and says we got a bill for the deep clean. Fine, good. Then he read me the ridiculous amount they have charged us for DRY CLEANING all the slipcovers!!!! We even were charged for "upholstery cleaning" the outdoor cushions, which I always wash! So, I just washed slipcovers that were recently drycleaned (I told them to never do this). :bang:

Thank you...I feel better. I will be having a meeting today.

Did I miss the memo that 98 had been granted "autobahn" status?

People are passing me like I'm going backwards ............ and I am exceeding the speed limit!

Folks, that red thing (light, octagonal sign etc.) means stop!

And that line on the pavement is to show you where - if the REAR bumper of your car is several feet PAST that line you are in the middle of the GD intersection! :angry:

Why is Publix forcing their workers to work on July 4th? I was so hoping to be able to drive by on Saturday on my way to a party and giggle at a parking lot full of hungry crying tourists banging on the non-functional doors.

Me too SB. I've made it a rule now that if it's past 930am. I'm just not going anywhere. Even at 8 am the traffic is crazy. WTF! is wrong with people! :idontno:

Here's my current rant: I have been receiving a lot of yuans instead of quarters as change.
1 Chinese yuan = 0.146366 U.S. dollars
I mean, it's only about ten cents, but it still ticks me off.

I never played that, it just looked stupid. However the mad dash for cotton, tomatoes, watermelon, etc. is much more funn!

I finally gave in and created a FB page about 2 weeks ago. Found out my college roommate is now a mortician! It is a lot of fun finding long lost friends. Easy way to share pics too. I don't play the games, but I know lots of virtual farmers who do. I check my page about once a day, but I still spend more time on SoWal.
