I needed to start this thread for a bit of pity and a momentary wallow in my misery.

:violin:

For six rental seasons, I have done the same thing. I arrive to our place and do the bi-annual change out of slipcovers. Washed the Summer covers, put them up and put on the Fall covers, which had been washed last Spring.

Mr. K calls me last night and says we got a bill for the deep clean. Fine, good. Then he read me the ridiculous amount they have charged us for DRY CLEANING all the slipcovers!!!! We even were charged for "upholstery cleaning" the outdoor cushions, which I always wash! So, I just washed slipcovers that were recently drycleaned (I told them to never do this). :bang:

Thank you...I feel better. I will be having a meeting today.

Go ahead...rant away!

today has sucked.
wake up this morning, i'm not a morning person, we have no coffee and i needed it. then mr. aggb starts the paper shredder first thing, that gets on my nerves and he knows it. i've been trying to get in touch with a friend, haven't heard from them. mr. aggb and i go to lunch, the server about got the wrath of aggieb because he wouldn't clean the table off of empty glasses. i said could you please take these. ugh, slow people. :bang: i've worked in restaurants and deli's and i know that the servers should pre-bus! ok, we leave, go to sams, the sliding doors won't open i push them open with my feet, people lined up behind me. go in, try to get the cart, well the seat belt is hung on the cart in front of it. people still lined up behind me. finally, get the belt out and start walking in and i always have to wipe down the cart, i'm a germaphobe. of course mr. aggb is just standing there waiting for me laughing, i walk up to him and he says, "havin' a hard time"? no, jack@ss i'm just havin' a grand ol' time here. guy walks by looking at me like wth are you doing. anyway, i'm ready for a drink now, screw the coffee.

Hey, I know...have your coffee with a couple of shots! Problem solved. Hope you have a better night.

Oh aggieb! It would not be good for us to hang together. We'd never get anything accomplished. I generally have the same type issues daily. I'm sorry for you. Have more than one drink.

Are you freaking kidding me?

Seriously?!?

I pay my monthy phone bill online EARLY, directly from my bank account, get a confirmation email thanking me for my payment and telling me it has been processed, and then my phone gets turned off!!!!

Why? Because there was a glitch processing the payment (nothing I did wrong BTW) and the new policy is that if your bill isn't paid the computer automatically turns off your phone.

Forgive me for thinking that just MAYBE before you turn off the phone you notify me somehow? Perhaps with an email sent by the same computer who turned off the phone when the bill became 24 hours overdue? (You know, at the same email address where you tell me my bill is due, my bill has been paid etc.) Or with a message on the phone number you obviously know?

I could see if I had accrued a large balance, was overdue, had a history of non payment, etc. but I had PAID the damn bill EARLY!

And you sure as HELL don't try (note use of word try) to make me pay a reactivation fee that is more than the bill when I call to find out what the hell is going on!

Yeah, I don't mind paying a fee when I screw up or am late paying something, but this kind of crap where they deliberately try to screw the customer to make a quick buck REALLY frosts my cookies.

You know, like the credit card company (Edward Jones, you are SO on my sheet list) where if you login the day BEFORE the bill is due, the earliest time you can pay it is the day AFTER the bill is due...............with a late fee AND interest! Pucking ridiculous.

Thank you! I too have encountered this little bit of flim flam with another credit card company. Every month, when they ask for feedback, they get an earfull and guess what...nothing. Same thing next month. :pissed:(I know, I should remember from month to month, but I'm doing good just to remember to pay the damn thing).

If someone asked you as you were going into the grocery store, "Do you mind taking my cart back in? "...

what would you do?

Would you hesitate for even a second?

Dear snobby biatch,
i'm not lazy. I'm not stupid. I know where the carts go when you finish with them. It's just that i depend on the kindness of strangers after i unload all my groceries and buckle up two kids under 3 into a hot car. I don't like to leave them unattended even for the few seconds it would take me to push the cart over there. You were going into the store. Was it really such a freakin' inconvenience for you and did you have to look at me deadpan and then over to the cart corral as if i was a moron?
Respectfully yours,
a worn out, hot, aggravated, and annoyed SoWal mom.

Dear no-driving, probably unlicensed immigrant,
When making a left turn, you must yield to oncoming traffic!
Sincerely,
pissed off

Dang, I feel better.

As a fellow shopper, I would MUCH rather you asked me to take your cart in than leave it in the parking lot etc. Drives me nuts when there are shopping carts all over the parking lot I know were left there by healthy people.

Why don't you just have the grocery employee take the cart back in?
Then you don't have to be at the mercy of the rude biatches (who based on my experience can't be bothered to take their own cart to the corral/back to the store, let alone yours).

The side of my car bears witness to the damage that a rogue shopping cart can do as it gains momentum on a slight incline in a parking lot. $1200 repair estimates!

Hey I believe I just inadvertently ranted.

People never cease to amaze me, SSB! I would have taken the buggy.

Absolutely! And, many times, someone going in to the store will offer to take my buggy, saving me a few steps.

Believe it or not, have dinged my own car before. Buggies should have brakes on the back wheels.

On another note, have you ever tried to steer a buggy in IKEA? All four wheels steer and they get catywhompus (sp.?). I ran into so many glass displays and people, I was stressed and had to leave, but it still took me two hours to get out of there because once you're in, you can't leave. It was sca-ry!

Awakened last night at 12:30 by the neighbor blaring his stereo. I listened to it for a while, then put in my earplugs. He then went from rock to Johnny Cash and turned it up! So I marched over at 2 a.m. He had both car doors open and the hatchback , decorated with blue christmas lights and his laptop, & came out the door with a 1/2 gallon of something. I told him to turn it down or put the car in drive. Johnny Cash, he says to me. I said I Love Johnny Cash too, but not at 2 in the morning.

Does Johnny Cash sing I'll have a Blue Christmas?

New noises in my quiet neighborhood: new neighbor several homes away with big dog that completely mimicks a siren. We've had a lot of sirens lately with the flooding and fires. Poor dog gets hoarse late at night.

We have so many property tax bills here that I accidentally paid one at the wrong due date. The bills are color coded. So, I get another one in the same color and I put it aside thinking it was a mistake. I finally open it and it's a Notice of Intent to File a Fi.Fa. So, I put that aside thinking it was obviously a mistake. A few days later I call the Tax Comm. office and learned of my mistake. Holy Smokes! After struggling the last 2.5 years, the last thing that's going to happen is I lose my home due to a mistake like this. So, I paid it and all is just fine.

Just got the real property tax bill and it went up 35%! Basturds!

I saw a dead racoon out of my bathroom window and thought Chester must of killed it. All kinds of thoughts running through my mind. Did it have rabies, when did he killl it. What do I do with it, where do I bury it.

I get dressed and walk out to the back yard......LOL, it's his stuffed toy I haven't seen in a long time, and yes, it is dead!

On another note: cohort busted in a ginormous lie ; don't people know these things always resurface?

Give someone enough rope and they hang themselves every time, every single time. What a pity.
