I've used it lots of times. Right now I'm bidding on Bare Escentuals face powder that cost about $20 at Sephora, and half that on EBay. If I'm the high bidder. ;-) A friend of mine collects historical clothing and one day when we were out in the yard talking, she dashed inside saying "I gotta go! I'm in a bidding war for a corset!" :rolling: My son is always building computers for himself, and he sells his old ones on EBay and rolls the profit into his new ones.

Another thing I'm looking for are cute Ipod Nano cases. The mall stores have boatloads of mini cases. I guess they weren't planning on Apple discontinuing them and no one was ready for the Nanos. Ebay has them tho!

If Miss Kitty doesn't come back tomorrow we'll know why. ;-) Just call yourself Sueshore or Miss Kitty so we can track you down and find you when you get lost over there!
ebay is a wonder, really. You can buy everything, or mostly. I bought maternity clothes on ebay, nice ones. The matching pillow sham to my son's Pottery Barn Kids quilt that I bought on clearance was on there. I got a giant, gorgeous handknotted rug for my living room at less than 1/6 the price of what it would be retail. A couple of gorgeous chandeliers. A coffee table. The fabric for the drapes I made. Some matching china pieces. More rugs ...
If I had girls and not boys I would do the kids clothes things, but my boys don't care what they wear and I only need them to look passable. Which they do with nearly no effort, thanks to Target. My shopping trifecta: ebay, Target, Nordstrom. And Publix. But really, if you are patient you only need ebay. Once I needed something at Restoration Hardware, and I bought a $100 gift card on ebay for $75. So I saved 25 bucks with no effort! Who knew? 😀

I don't ebay, but hubby does. When he brings up me being on this board so much I just say one word. . . Ebay. My son is a big Bob Dylan fan (he's 18, go figure) we were able to find some really hard to find Dylan CDs, etc. for him on Ebay.

Question....can you explain the dollar amounts on the right side? The big number is the "retail"? And the smaller number is the "bid"?

I think it's the bid and the shipping price. Bid first, shipping price second. Once you click on the link you can see the what the bid is up to clearly then scroll down in the description and you will find the details.

COS, if you can navigate Sowal you can sell on Ebay. All you need are digital pictures. Ebay makes it so easy now...they even do all the resizing. Just click sell an item and you are off and running. I use USPS Priority shipping. ( Hubby works for USPS) Most clothing itmes will ship for less than $5 so I charge $7-8 to ship single items and more for heavier or multiple items.

Ocean Lover, if you put it like that, then it has to be easy! SoWal sure is, even for a computer nincompoop like me. I have tons of stuff around the house that I'd love to not have anymore. My son's home from college as of today and he's gotten pretty good at selling his computer goodies on EBay, so I think I will ask him to walk his old mother through the process.

Just remember...timing is everything. Ebay slows down after Christmas and people aren't looking/buying as much. But you could try it out. I always list my daughter's dance costumes at the beginning of October for Halloween costumes. I don't think they'd sell at other times of the year. Fancy dress clothes sell in November and early December for Cmas and March for Easter. Just think about the seasons and holidays with clothes and items and you'll do fine.
