I :wub::wub: this show! I've had it calendared for weeks. And Alaska Experiment season premier follows tonight.

Anybody have a favorite boat? I'm a fan of Sig and Edgar on the Northwestern, but Capt. Phil's boat is a close 2nd after last season.

I read a bio on Phil, and I'm sure that it could be applicable to most of the Captain / owners. You would never guess it by his looks, but he pulls down about $500K per year and has a huge house on Lake Washington. If you are familiar with the Seattle area, that is as prime as prime real estate can get!

Bill Gates' house is on Lake Washington. Beautiful lake and beautiful city.

BTW, I just read that the Gates have the last page of The Great Gatsby engraved somewhere in their house. The last page of Gatsby may well be the best written page in English ever.

Apparently they're a good economic indicator as well. Current levels haven't been this high since the great depression. 😱

Poor Capt. Phil. :( God luv him. It was sad watching him standing on the dock when his boat left without him. Hopefully, his health will improve and he can make part of the season.

You really have to wonder, though, that in the time between Phil's leaving the boat last season and the beginning of this season they never bothered to run tests? Seems a little contrived, IMHO, in an effort to make good TV. I found it a little too coincidental.

Was sad, though. Phil lives for that boat.

She may be avoiding it altogether because of the thread title, or she's reading it with one finger on the delete button. (Hiya Jenny )

Yeah, I'm sure it was more than a little contrived. But, you're right..he does love his boat and his boys.
