This is really for Bobby J but I figured I'd post it. What is the deal with the Power 90 1-2 and 3-4. I first thought that there were four different workouts that you phased through. Now I'm seeing that there are only 2 and you progress with reps or weights. I skimmed through 3-4 and it looks like the same workout again only faster. Is this the case? And if so, really, how do you know when you are ready for 3-4?

BTW...we are loving it, though ChefEd had to miss out today. It wasn't nearly as much "fun" without him.

It is a little redundant but the 3-4 is harder and the strength is a little different. Just keep on pushing play, watch what you eat. Really follow that little book and progress when 1-2 is fairly easy. On days you struggle just go back to the 1-2. Did you take the pics? Make sure you do that.

THANKS...we are pushing play, following a really good 6 meal/high veggie/high protein "diet", basically drinking nothing but water or protein shakes.
We took the Day one picture. Like yours, our will probably never be seen by another living soul...unless Tony decides we must be spokes models. :rolling:

A friend of mine is a trainer and he is using P90x at home himself and he runs and then goes to work...working out. :yikes:

Thanks for recommending this to us. So far I'm impressed.

A workout video that really works! It is a 90 day program where you take progression pictures and follow your progress on a calendar.

You probably saw P90X which I had thought about doing. Bobby convinced me that Power 90 is great and so far it is. Not nearly as intense as what the P90x looks to be. I'll probably get it later.

Pretty much any program that you stick to will work. This one is set up to push you to count off those days from start to finish with little motivators here and there (the pictures, calendar...90 days).
The video is definitely something that you can tell you are going to get better at and it will be more intense as you learn what to do and get stronger.

I can't wait until I can do the Plank all the way down and then up to the Downward Dog.

That was my goal as well! I have to say that I have never ever ever followed through with anything and with BJ's help, finished the 90 days in the BEST shape of my life. I stand by the program 100%. I didn't take the supplements or change my diet, but once I saw results I didn't really want to eat bad food anymore....and trust me, I have fought a 20 year addiction to Cool Ranch Doritos.

I started out not being able to do one single push-up and by the end of the 90 days I did 100 during the 3-4 sculpt workout!! .....ok, let that sink in...... (ever see Olive Oyl doing push-ups? that should give you a visual)

Anyone want to join me for another 90 days, I am going to start over next week

100!!!!! holy cookamoli! I can't wait to get there. Do you wear those Olive Oyl shoes when you work out :floor:

We are on day 5 so I'm sure we can push each other along. I'm sure you are way ahead of us just starting off.

I had great eating habits when I was running and biking all the time. It didn't really matter that I had some beers and quesadillas every wednesday with the group after the run. Then I got hurt, so on running night I would just join the group for the beers and quesadillas. Didn't take long till that ruined me. The good eating habits come back quick for me luckily.
.

My son and I are waiting for ChefEd to get off work now so we can workout. There were technical difficulties this morning so we had to push it off till way late at night. Daggone chefs

Yep it's Tony. I have to mute him. We finished the 90 days in April. Have not found another program that I can stick with.

Although I Love Bob Harper (from the biggest loser). He is my dream man....if only I were gay...and male....darn chromosomes!

Now both of our older boys are working out with us. They laughed at us one time so we made them jump in. They aren't laughing now. We are all able to complete full sets of pushups and the plank/upward dog when we couldn't get anywhere close last week. I'm doing an extra workout in the mornings and then the regular one in the evening with the family. Already starting to see a difference in arms and abs.

Yesterday was a resting day. Because of scheduling conflicts with the chef I actually went 9 days straight and that was not a good idea. Yesterday I was exhausted down to my very fiber. Pushing play here in 30 minutes.

A break is good. Are you writing all this on your calendar?

The calendar is the first thing I see every morning. Skipping it is not an option.

Make sure you take a day off every week. Eat right is just as important as the workout and take your time on the next level. Make sure you got those push ups and squats down. I would recommend trying the next one and don't be upset if some days you feel like the first one. I will be out of touch until Tuesday and may not be able to check on you but will be thinking about the next time we chat you will have over 14 days I believe! Keep it up! Push Play! And if you start to burn out come do it with Bev. She loves to workout with a partner. These 90 days can change your body and your life! I am cheering you on from an undisclosed location!

Me thinks Bobby J is going surfing!

Thanks for the support! I've got the squats down and push ups are getting better except the 7, 7,7. ..those close ones still kick my butt!

We are taking the kayaks over to St. Joe Sunday and Monday but will take the dvd's with us too. Workout, paddle, scallop, repeat!

Struggled through the workout today but it felt good to stretch my aching muscles. Saturday was a workout, run and kayak loading day. I tried to bump up to 2-4 circuit but am not ready for the pushups. Sunday was stair running and loading/unloading the car for our vacation followed by kayak unloading, paddling and loading. Yesterday more of the same and I came home so tired and sore. It doesn't help that I was thrown off the side of the vehicle while loading a kayak on Saturday. I wonder how many calories are burned and what muscle groups are used putting kayaks onto and taking them off of a Discovery? I did that exercise 4 times a day for three days.

You may need a few days break if you get real sore or like the video says just push play and go through the motions. That 2-4 can be a killer if your head is not ready. Take your time with it. How is it going and what day are you on? Bev and I are getting ready for PX90.
