other apps I'm loving: flashlight, days until (christmas countdown), weatherbug, sunset, Pandora radio, nasa, etc. many of these are for me and kiddo to explore together. urbanspoon looks promising..

You have to enable it. Go to settings, then general, then networks.

No, I'm not getting it. But my enable 3G is switched on and I pick it up when I am in larger towns. You guys may not be up yet.

I thought those were for all phones except the iPhones (they have their own plan)

Those figures are a lot more than what I pay too... I have the basic 450 anytime minutes single phone plan at $39.99 + $30 data plan + $5 for 200 text messages... With taxes and fees, my bill every month is right around $85

I think at&t is the only company to support the iphone right now. They have a contract with apple. Your plan looks like the one I was offered and it's the only game in town. But, I pay less for my iphone than I did for my Sprint service and a Razor that never frikin worked, anywhere, so I'm a happy camper with the iphone and my service. Have not had a problem with either one for almost a year now.

After a couple hours in the airport w/ free wifi I am also an addict!

when/if you go all the way and get the iphone, go ahead and spend more for the absolute latest model - 3GS. I got the 3G since it totally has more than I can ever really appreciate much less use. well.... there is a glitch in the software automatic update (when you sync with computer via itunes) that keeps you from EVER being able to use wifi again. Some folks do not have this problem but many, many people have reported it. I don't really miss it that much since it doesn't keep me from emailing, browsing, etc... I need to go by and talk to a technician to see if there are any good fixes, other than the dozen or so given online which I have tried.

My 3G still is absolutely wonderful. its a computer! but it does not have video (which I do not need), and even though the memory is way more than adequate in most cases, I cannot download all my music to the ipod.

I really like the intelligent keyboard.
