I am getting ready to go out and clean the driveways. It is in the teens here and still snowing and blowing. This is supposed to keep up until the morning. It will remain in the teens for most of the week. Thing beach, sun and sand even if the sand gets in your shorts!!

The Sr. Scooterbugs told me to just shut up about it being "cold" here.

They didn't get above zero all day! 😀

I rode my motorcycle home from Sowal, yesterday. The temp never got above 40 and was down around 28 when I got home. Woke up this morning, and it was 18 degrees, and yes, I rode the Wing in to work.

God Bless Gerbing heated clothing. That's all I can say! I was snug as a bug in a rug!

So, does this mean this summer none of us will squeak a peep about how hot is and watering a toad? 😀

Hey, are all ya'll (please see thread on proper use of ya'll and all ya'll) in Big D going to be warmer than us'n in SoWal? Glad Dallas is winning today. Watch the Sunday night game for my big bro. It was cold today, but it was another killer sunset. Quiet water over the coastal dune lake reflecting the gulf, clouds and sun.

I see you like to spell ya'll like I do - the wrong way! ha ha ha. actually, my iphone keeps making me spell it correctly - y'all. I guess I can go with either!

All I can say is it is really, really painful cold. Even with a parka, gloves, scarf, hat. Painful.

Painful here, too. Oddly enough, I am acclimating quickly. Which means, when we hit 35, it will feel like Spring - wahoo~~~~~

And, Cowboy doesn't believe it's the same temperature out the back door as the front. He tries twice each night, then snuggles comfortably in my lap while I do some work. Today for Sweet Pea was fabulous because it's also trash day! Cold + groovy smells on the entire walk means I am acclimating to the cold more quickly because we are out longer. 😀

It is a balmy 1 (one,) degree in central Illinois today. Please warm me up with some well wishes from paradise.:blink:

I grew up in Central Illinois, and the bad thing about the cold there is that there is absolutely nothing to stop the wind for about 150 miles, and it's sort of a "wet" cold sometimes. I check the local weather there every morning during the winter, just to give me something to be thankful for. This morning, it's -3, there looks to be about 3-6 inches of snow on the ground and it is supposed to start snowing again tomorrow.

That's enough to make me appreciate the 40 degrees and sunshine we got here yesterday.

Looks like everything froze last night. My elephant ears all are drooped over. :(

Ours has warmed up to 18. In all seriousness, it's supposed to be like this for this area - ha! But it doesn't make it any easier for this former Alabama girl. At least we have appropriate clothing for it. You guys don't.

We are supposed to get snow on Thursday too, Lynnie. I can handle the snow any day over the deep freeze temps. :clap:
