You forgot "America's Sweetheart" (John Cusack, Julia Roberts) quite funny but nonetheless romantic.

What about "An American President" (Annette Benning, Michael Douglas): A sweet movie.

uh... was there romance in that movie? It seemed like it was mostly sex. (not that there is anything wrong with that...)

It was Ok but too contrived. I like most all Cusack's movies but Roberts has failed to make any movies with heart after Pretty Woman.

Yes! One of my favorites. I will watch it every time it comes on.

I do love the old classics. The Quiet Man with John Wayne is excellent. But there is something missing in the older ones. It is skin.

I do like this one. Kline plays it perfect and I like most Meg Ryan movies. This is one of her best.

I also like this one very much but left it off my list because they really blew the ending. I totally did not believe her wanting it to be him. Such a great buildup for three quarters but they really had no clue how to handle it after that.

This may be dating me a bit, but does anyone remember West Side Story and the "original" Romeo and Juliet?

Yep, I guess the romance flies out the window in that one.

How about:

  1. Love Story
  2. An Officer and a Gentleman
  3. The Notebook
  4. As Good As It Gets

YES - Lake View Too

I simply ADORE West Side Story - I have the soundtrack and also the movie. I have probably seen it at LEAST 100+ times I swear. Can you BEAT that dance number on the roof???

And do you mean the original Romeo & Juliet with Leslie Howard or the one with Olivia Hussey? I prefer the one with Olivia Hussey. Leslie Howard just doesn't do it for me as Romeo.

Ah but have you seen the ORIGINAL version of this movie?

Shop Around the Corner < Jimmy Stewart - a wonderful Christmas time movie. I LOVE this movie!! A MUST see for all You've Got Mail fans!!!

Yes - funny, but not romantic. Why?

It's hard to spoil a movie with Meg Ryan but he has done it twice.

Yes, the Olivia Hussey movie. Not familiar with the other. Also, Camelot, with Richard Harris was another in that vein.
