The Walton County Tea Party Patriots are hosting a "Freedom Rally" on Saturday, April 17th, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM in DeFuniak Springs. The Rally will be located in front of Walton Cycles, on Hwy. 90 West (from 331 N, turn left onto Hwy 90 and Walton Cycles is about 3/4 mile on the right).

Bring your posters (no ugly language), flags, folding chairs and your Patriotic spirit as we gather to voice our concerns about the direction our country is heading. We will have several speakers talking about issues that are of great concern. Mike Hill, a candidate for State Senate, will be our guest speaker. We will also have "Open-Mike" time for anyone to express their concerns.

There will be a voter registration table to assist Walton Co. citizens. We will be handing out FREE Constitution booklets, FREE American Flags and FREE ICED TEA!

If you have questions about what the Tea Party Movement is all about or if you are concerned about the changes taking place in our country, please attend. Take the time to find out that we are average citizens, who are peacefully trying to return our country to its former ideals of Consitutional government, Christian values, smaller government, lower taxes and less government intrusion into our everyday lives.

WE ARE A NON-PARTISAN GROUP AND EVERYONE IS WELCOME!

Please go to our website at www.waltoncountypatriots.tcoinc.com for additional information about our organization.

Don't need the white robes, but you are welcome. Take a chance - you might learn that all of your theories are wrong!

McCarthy Was Right!
February 10, 2010 by ?Chip Wood

On Feb. 9, 1950, Senator Joseph McCarthy (R.-Wisc.) gave a Lincoln?s Birthday speech in Wheeling, W.V., in which he asserted that scores of communists had infiltrated the U.S. State Department.

His charges, far from causing a nationwide fervor of anti-communist hysteria, as his critics have alleged, went mostly unnoticed at the time. Just two weeks earlier, Alger Hiss, then and now the darling of the left, was convicted of two counts of perjury for lying about being a spy for the Soviet Union. He was sentenced to life in prison.

We now know for certain, thanks to documents discovered in Moscow after the collapse of communism there, that McCarthy was, if anything, understating the case; and that Hiss was guilty of far more than perjury. He was a conscious and deliberate traitor to his country.

For nearly six decades, the left has conducted a relentless smear campaign against the junior senator from Wisconsin, making his name a symbol of irresponsible extremism. For an excellent account of what really did happen, get Blacklisted by History: The Untold Story of Senator Joe McCarthy and His Fight Against America?s Enemies, by M. Stanton Evans.

Truth may not forever be on the scaffold, nor deceit firmly on the throne. But for Joe McCarthy, who should be hailed as a genuine American hero, it certainly seems that way.

And that fundraising success has also meant a brisk business for Russo March, which essentially runs the PAC. In that capacity, Russo Marsh and a sister firm called King Media Group have received $1.9 million of the $4.1 million in payments made by the committee — a financial relationship that is not uncommon between political action committees run by consultants and their consulting firms.

You know you're having an impact condomimi, when something as simple as a post about a rally generates this much hate from proponents of social democrat policy and statism! We're winning! I'll see you there! ;-)

On this board, hate begets ridicule. What else do you have in a text based forum besides name calling?

The fiscal shift in the Reagan years was staggering. In January 1981, when Reagan declared the federal budget to be "out of control," the deficit had reached almost $74 billion, the federal debt $930 billion. Within two years, the deficit was $208 billion. The debt by 1988 totaled $2.6 trillion. In those eight years, the United States moved from being the world's largest international creditor to the largest debtor nation.

Can't argue with you there Bob, the federal debt went ballistic after Reagan's tax cuts. We should have cut government spending far more. I mean really, that debt is pure spending by the federal government, independent of necessities, we really could've lopped off 60% of what the feds spend and survived and thrived just fine.

Where in the Constitution does it say anything about the United States being a Christian Nation? This goes against everything which the Founders were trying to avoid-- and goes against the traditions of American pluralism, religious pluralism and inclusion.

You have to admit Democrats are extremely worried about the Tea Party movement. So much so that they're scrambling to place people on the ground at the rallys to try and make them look racist, violent and fanatical.

it's ironic that the far left that proclaims the right to freedom of speech is trying to extinguish others of that right.

Calling them racists has failed to take root.

They need to engage them on the issues instead of resorting to name calling and fear mongering.

Clearly a lively debate is in order with someone who can't spell "govrnmnt", "taxtion", "thinks the government doesn't run medicare", or plenty of other issues. You can't debate someone who's mind is already made up to the point that they resort to name calling such as "socialist", "commie", "anti-American", etc.

You know when I posted above I really wanted to know if the local group is part of the bigger group.

Another poster on here often posts that the TP is simply a group of citizens who want smaller government and more fiscal responsibility...

it appears to me that that may well be true.

However, that group is being co-opted by the likes of the political operatives who wrote this draft plan...and it is the political operatives who are making money off the people who may be genuinely sincere in their desire for smaller government and fiscal responsibility.

So, does the local group belong to the group that is using the play book put together by the Russo consulting team?:idontno:

FOXNews.com - Oregon Teacher Panel Probes Educator Determined to 'Demolish' Tea Party

School officials investigate Beaverton teacher who urged people to crash the tea party | OregonLive.com

Many of those misspelled signs have admittedly been from tea party infiltrators. They know many folks will see a picture and generalize about the entire movement. The liberal press is all too quick to show them.

Like I said, it reveals their desperation when these tactics come to light. This teacher is encouraging his people to try and collect SSN's from tea party participants. He teaches 6th-8th grade!

Good luck with your event!

It would be great to see voter driven events focused on legitimate issues marginalize all the inflammatory rhetoric, rudeness, and craziness.

Would love to have you post a recap/highlights of the speakers and event for those who cannot attend.
