Lynnie, it was very hot and sticky on Saturday, cloudy and warm on Sunday and today it is a little cooler and overcast with intermitent rain showers. I am now up to 3 pages. I am really kicking arse now. Thanks everybody!!!

I am attending the Pittsburgh Pirates vs Cleveland Indians game on Friday. Which of these losing teams do you think will win?

The Indians had been on a roll winning 4 in a row until they ran into the Nats. So it can go either way. I kind of stopped following them once they let Omar and Jim Thome get away. I have only been to the new stadium once since it was built. And I think that was at least 10 years ago.

DD, I only have 30 more to go to hit 800. Who would have believed it??

We have had rain here on and off since Sunday morning. We are in the process of helping the neighbors paint their house and have been completely shut out since last weekend because of the weather. We have had plans on the days that the weather cooperated and just can't seem to put together 2 good days to paint.

No end in sight for our heat! We are getting heat lightning and storms, but not enough to water the lawn.

You know when you are bakin' a casserole and you open the oven to check it? Hot steam billows out and you hear it bubblin'? That's what it was like when I opened the back door yesterday to turn Cowboy out. Oppressive, just plain oppressive. A good friend of mine calls it Africa Hot.

Are All Y'all gettin' this visual?

Sounds like some pool lounging time this weekend. It will be too hot to paint so maybe I can relax. On another note, The "How Sad" thread, your reply was great. You are one of my favorites so don't get depressed!!!!

Aww...thanks. I get a little protective of the lounge from time to time. No worries though..I'm good.
KISH--it's so hot here, the squirrels are drinking out of the bottoms of the flower pots--and they're flopped out on the branches of trees gasping for breath! I expect that toad to start following me around when I water any day now.

I have to try and get my chores done by noon or so before it gets too hot. Our problem here is the humidity. It gets terrible when it is that hot. I have to go out on the deck with the BB gun to keep the squirrels out of the pool when it gets that hot.

Rasberry Iced Tea. I only like to have a beer when I am grilling. The squirrels try to use the pool for laps. It is really tough keeping them out.

BB, hey give me a little credit here, I have been busting my a$$ to get to 1000 so I can make a ornement. My wife has been making bread dough ornaments for years and a little of it has rubbed off on me. I usually help mix the dough and then dip them once they are finished. Depending on who I get, I can come up with some great ideas.
