What do you miss?

I miss the cute puppy nose prints on the glass door. I also miss having a real President like Ronald Reagan

I miss not having everything be political in nature. There are far more important things in life!

I miss my grandparent's farm when I was growing up...some of the best moments of my life occurred there.

I miss my kids when they were young. Things then were just so simple and innocent. Now they all each go in their different ways and it is so hard to get them all together. They all have their own lives and it seems like they don't have tinme for us unless they need something.

DD, I just hit 900, only 100 more to go. HO-HO!!!

I was missing Douglas the Intrepid and Kish7374. Glad Y'all are back! I miss the farm, too.....puppies and Ronald Reagan!

I miss the big money I was making when Reagan was prez

Miss my Dad(ten years this Sunday) and having my Mom whole. I understand your pain, BR. Alzheimer's is a really crappy disease and watching someone you love fade away is so challenging.

I also miss the old SoWal site....sorry Kurt. I love simple things. The new one is spiffy

check out the home page every day for something cool about the community! Beachmom is front and center! check her out.

Yum! I was able to snag a wonderful recipe from Punzy this summer for meatloaf. It was so easy and delish! I was hoping for leftovers, I was disappointed. I need to make it again, now that it's "meatloaf weather".

Maybelline sable brown mascara
Mama's lemon chicken and fried okra with green tomatoes
Private Collection parfum spray (getting very hard to find lately)
Shampoo in glass bottles (a weird one, I know, just feeling nostalgic)

Too often - I miss my mind. Don't you wonder where all those thoughts are that you were thinking and going to say something about ...........and then they're gone! Must be tons of "thoughts" floating around because not all mine come back!!!

Of course! It's very simple...

Meatloaf

1 pound ground beef
1 1/4 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
1 egg, lightly beaten
8 oz diced tomatoes with juice
1/2 cup quick-cooking oats
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Mix all meatloaf ingredients well and place in a baking dish. Shape into a loaf.
Topping
1/3 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
Mix ingredients for topping and spread on loaf.
Bake for 45-50 minutes.

I hope Punzy doesn't mind. Of course, if Skunky would stop making pictures of his food all the time, I would be inclined to eat less.

I miss being able to go somewhere without electronics intruding. Cell phones and tv screens have taken over almost every restaurant in town.

I miss SoWal.
