Yes, I received this email, which I will cut and paste here. I had never heard this word before. I did check out snopes, which can't refute the claims and wikipedia has a rather interesting explanation of the origin of the word.

Clearly, the email could have been constructed differently, but here it is. At least snopes addresses the fact that this behemoth of unconstitutional law has areas that could be amended prior to 2014. Hopefully, to make this fair for ALL. But, is socialism and blatant discrimination ever fair? Ever?

Dhimmitude - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Dhimmitude -- What does it mean?
Obama used it in the health care bill.

Now isn't this interesting? It was used in the health care law.

Every day there's another revelation of what Obama and his fellow Democrats are doing to our country.

Dhimmitude -- I had never heard the word until now. Type it into Google and start reading. Pretty interesting. It's on page 107 of the
healthcare bill. I looked this up on Google and yep, it exists. It is a REAL word.

Amish , scientologists, christian scientists and Muslims are exempt ...
ARE EXEMPT ...from the requirements of the health care bill. I think I could become Amish a whole lot easier than muslim.

Word of the Day: Dhimmitude

Dhimmitude is the Muslim system of controlling non-muslim populations conquered through jihad. Specifically, it is the TAXING of non-muslims in exchange for tolerating their presence AND as a coercive means of converting conquered remnants to Islam.

Obama
Care allows the establishment of Dhimmitude and Sharia Muslim diktat in the United States. Muslims are specifically exempted from the government mandate to purchase insurance, and also from the penalty tax for being uninsured. Islam considers insurance to be "gambling", "risk-taking", and "usury" and is thus banned. Muslims are specifically granted exemption based on this.

How convenient. So I, as a Christian, will have crippling IRS liens placed against all of my assets, including real estate, cattle, and even accounts receivables, and will face hard prison time because I refuse to buy insurance or pay the penalty tax. Meanwhile, Louis Farrakhan will have no such penalty and will have 100% of his health needs paid for by the de facto government insurance. Non-muslims will be paying a tax to subsidize muslims. Period. This is Dhimmitude.

Dhimmitude serves two purposes: It enriches the muslim masters AND serves to drive conversions to Islam. In this case, the incentive to convert to Islam will be taken up by those in the inner-cities as well as the godless Generation X, Y, and Z types who have no moral anchor. If you don't believe in Christ to begin with, it is no problem whatsoever to sell Him for 30 pieces of silver. "Sure, I'll be a muslim if it means free health insurance and no taxes. Where do I sign, bro?"

I recommend sending this post to your contacts. This is desperately important and people need to know about it -- quickly!

The husband is a compulsive video taper/DVDer of world events and big election events. Has been for a long time- he still has the Bush-Ferraro VP debate on beta tape buried in a box in our storeroom. And a while back, we were dubbing the VHS tapes over to DVD in order to shrink down space needed and put everything into a more stable storage medium.

And despite the distortion of 'Our Christian values were always strong and Obama is destroying the country by this amazing lunge toward socialism' rhetoric, it's interesting to go back and look at how much more of a liberal country we were during the Reagan-Bush Sr. years than we are now. Pull up the election night reel from 1992, and while no one was talking about gay rights at the time, it was an era when the Repblicans were constantly lining up behind cap and trade as the free market solution to pollution issues instead of something that was a much more straightforward tax. Voters were reaffirming a woman's right to control her own reproductive process on state ballot initiatives. All kind of ideas that were residuals of the Reagan years that were considered to be mainstream or slightly right-leaning that are now considered to be dangerously socialist.

And on a lighter note, a number of networks were using red as the color for Democrats and blue as the Republicans on the big national maps.

I am so glad we've get primary source material at the house because in the era of the 24 hour horribly biased news cycle, no one these days is ever going to give an honest assessment of what the 'good old days' were like as they were happening.

Thank you for a different perspective on "the good old days". ;-)

That is simply not true. If you go back and read the posts regarding Obama's election, many on the right said loudly and clearly we hoped he would bring solutions to the nation and succeed in his efforts to unite the country. It is only one person's opinion, mine, but as far as I can tell, he has not only failed miserably, he has led us away from values that have held us in good stead for over 200 years. But then, it should be remembered I'm an uninformed, uneducated, ignorant Conservative who's opinion is null and void in the world of the elitists now in charge of our country.

Andy, Andy, Andy.

IMO McCain/Palin were set up by the RNC to take the fall. The upper level Republicans are very good at looking down the road to win elections. Unfortunately those same Republicans are only focused on winning at all costs and probably saw that the next two years were going to suck, financially, so threw the election.

Obama talked about health care reform and stimulus during the election, neither of those two things were surprises. Despite fat white people turning out in droves with badly spelled signs to show their displeasure in what they claimed to be a socialist surprise.

How good was our stead on January 19, 2010? Yes, people were excited about a new President and a new direction, but overall things were circling the bowl and headed down. Obama has been fighting that downward sucking ever since, this kind of takes away from the ability to move forward.

Ya know, I kind of thought that, too. Obama's entry into the White House just as the "house of cards" (Bush's exact words) was falling, seemed almost like a set up. The "uppity black boy" would be saddled with all the burden and blame, as the fat cat Wall Street bankers slipped out the back door with the Bush sanctioned bail-out money.

I just hope the same thing doesn't happen as what happened when Reagan got elected. that is, our standards for presidential qualifications were lowered dramatically.

Well, we have now heard full and utter BS from all three of the ultra liberals. Any other Conservative wish to chime in?
