Seems like President Bill Clinton (see link at bottom) and others are urging Kendrick Meek (D) to drop out of the Fla. Senate race, even at this late date.
Not sure if this will work, but Meeks standing in the polls has gone from 22% down to 15% in the last three days.
Having voted a straight Demorcratic Party ticket since George McGovern in '72, I persoanlly urge all fellow Florioda Democrats to move their vote into the Charlie Crist (I) column for Florida Senator. ( Kurt, if this personal type of political broadcast is not allowed I will delete this post, but I feel strongly about this).
Marco Rubio must be stopped at any cost!
(PS: I have nothing againt Kendrick Meek or most of his policies, but believe Crist will actually be the best with a good, bi-patisan approach).

I guess a lack of principal is something the democrats who support him are comfortable with? :idontno:
I think it's more of a rational response than anything else. I happen to think favoring Rubio shows a gross lack of principal and moral values.

Anyone with ties to the RPOF leadership really can't claim moral higher ground these days. Rubio's no cleaner than Charlie is.
Beach Fanatic
except that Charlie walked away and Rubio joined up with the Tea Party...I prefer the independence, given that choice.

You guys do realize you've been duped by a narcissistic career politician who will promise pretty much anything to garner your vote? In the end, the promises he makes are thin as tissue paper. You should all be applying your principals and voting for Meek. If you were, he'd actually have a shot at this.

Meek and his mother also are rather ethically challenged.

What will be interesting after November 2nd will be the results. They won't matter to the Rubio supporters who will be masturbating with tea bags over the win.
They will matter to the Democrats and Independents who bought into a very well crafted whisper campaign that Meek didn't have a chance. Guaranteed when you look at the returns that if Democrats has voted with their party, in this race, they would have clinched it.
I think your reply is ugly...Kurt does allow you to get way with a lot...very tasteless....really shows your true character!!!!:banned:

If you're going to whine, you should be whining at your fellow republicans who are going with Crist. That's the kicker. That's why the money is on Crist over Meek, although realistically speaking, the situation is looking pretty grim.

Or have you been duped thinking Rubio isn't going to become a career politician. Conservatives like to talk about removing incumbents but come election day they can't resist voting them back in. The ones who are voted out in many cases will be replaced by Tea Party wackos.

I haven't heard anything about that. What have they done?

😀 I'll vote for "tea party wackos" and "tea party extremists" over the current batch we have running congress every time! They're a major improvement!

Too late. He already is. Look at how his personal financial position has improved since he was first elected, including the sort of sweetheart college/university job that got Ray Sansom in all kinds of hot water.

Why isn't Obama in Florida supporting Meek (D)? Why are fellow democrats not supporting Meek full force? I've heard no one talk negatively about him, but most democrats seem to be pulling for the former Republican, Crist.

Bill Clinton's been lobbying for him in the peninsula. I think that given the current political climate, the Dems feel that havng a big name current office-holder campaign for him would do more harm than good.

So in a round about way we have Charlie Crist to thank for Rick Scott as governor and Marco Rubio in the senate. I hope he's proud of himself. 😀

That doesn't make any sense unless you're implying that Meek's projected certain loss will keep some democrats at home. I doubt it. Some of Meek's most ardent supporters have made the pragmatic decision to vote for Crist.

So who is Ralph Nader? Is it Meek or Crist?

Meek has about 17%, Crist 30%, and Rubio 50%. Without Crist the two alone would likely be within ten points. As it stands now Crist splits the democrat vote leaving Rubio the far and away front runner.

Last I saw, Rubio was up by 5%. I don't think he'll get 50%, no way. Crist could win without Meek in the race, but not vice-versa.

Hmm, what polls are you looking at? Fivethirtyeight doesn't show that kind of spread, nor does RCP.
