Going to be a grandma!

Found out a few months ago I am going to be a grandma. This time things are going well for mom to be. She found out the sex of the baby yesterday and it is a boy. Needless to say my son and his wife are happy but a little surprised as they, I should say she more than him thought for sure it was a girl, were hoping for a girl so they had to change in a hurry the registries they had that was mostly girly things. But the baby is healthy and is due around May 16th, cannot wait to see him. Just wanted to let my Sowal friends know.

How wonderful. Congratulations. Grandchildren are such a gift in life. I am making Christmas cookies with my 3 yr. old grandson this afternoon. Little boys are so much fun as you will soon find out.

I sure hope so. And all they wanted is for the baby to be healthy whatever the sex was going to be and so far so good. Would love for him to have the blond hair with ringlet curls and blue eyes like my son when he was little but I'll take him whatever way he comes of course. 😀

You will love every second of it! Being a grandmother is the best thing that ever happened to me. I promise that words like amazing and stunning will cross your lips often and easily. Congratulations!

Congratulations, Lady D! I know that you must be so thrilled.:clap:

Our new-son-in-law started his Ph.D. program in engineeering in August, so they plan to wait until he finishes before they start "trying." Big D's M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in engineering took a total of three years. So the timing is perfect because our daughter's OB-GYN (who also delivered her :wub: ) told her that in three years they need to start working on a family.:clap:

I just saw three ultrasound pictures of him, couldn't tell that much about them, in the first two I could see his face direct on but couldn't tell where his body was.

Grandchildren are just so much fun. You can spoil them and get away with it. And when they m isbehave you can just send them home. We have had such enjoyment with ours. It is more fun then having your own children.
