It's supposed to be freezing here in the Dallas/Ft Worth area starting tomorrow-including ice and such and wind chills of 5 degrees, I think this will set a new record or will be the coldest of my personal experience. I sure wish I was in SoWal instead, even if ya'll get this cold front, I'd rather be cold there than cold here!!!!!

I was awakened by sleet slapping at my bedroom window at 3am today-yuck. I actually drug my butt outta bed and dressed for the gym but when my garage door went up and I saw the icy snow, I knew my Texan born and bred self had no business trying to drive to the gym in that!

If it's any consolation, the weather in SoWal is not much better than in Atlanta, especially if you factor in the high winds. Still I'd rather be in SoWal than Atlanta when the weather is bad.

yeah, we said it shouldn't be a real issue for the Packers or Steelers except that they were looking forward to thawing out!! We'll be able to help them out with that by Friday but not till then it seems!
I'm letting my lunch settle and then gonna have hubby drive me to the gym-I've only driven in ice/snow twice before and once I did multiple 360's on an overpass so I'd just as soon not try again!

I never got over 20mph and fortunately, all green lights all the way. Had to go out for some lunch and most of the fast food places were closed. :shock: Our parking lot is at least 2" of solid ice. The freakin' wind is a nightmare. I hate this crap.

Me too DD! It puckin sucks! We had a snow day at work so I've gone through most of my book collection and bagged up 3 large bags to trade in at Half Price Books-my back's too tired to keep going and I still have to drag my @$$ to the gym!

Ice makes terrible snowballs, but really good broken bones :lol:
