wish I was there

good news is my office isn't opening until 1pm today, I am waiting on the roads to clear a bit and then hitting the gym

I'm hating all the repeating news coverage! One reporter referred to the ice as a "hockey rink" because he'd called it an ice rink so many times - just STOP REPORTING the same stuff and let me watch the Today Show already!

It snowed yesterday and started raining around 6:00 last night. It rained through the night and now is snowing again. Looking out the window, the snow is blowing up the street, down the street and then almost straight up. The wind is whipping around like crazy. I had a rough commute to work today, I almost tripped on the stairs going up to the bedroom/office.

Now I am once again made aware of why Betty and I downsized and moved to Florida. One of the smartest moves we ever made. I can say that until at least the next hurricane season has passed, and if lucky, keep on saying it. Since today is Betty's birthday, we will go to PC to pick up her new cancer medication and on to lunch on roads devoid of ice. I definitely can relate with all you people. We use to live in Edmond, OK.

All of the above. By the time I left to drive the Ice Road again, we hadn't had the rolling blackout yet. Sunkist did though. I think the roads were worse today. Too many confident people seeing dry spots.
I took the poor little smoking residents out to smoke and one lady always smokes two. She was still smoking her first one when all the rest had gone in. I kept telling her to hurry up and I think she just smoked slower!! I'm done being nice..she only gets one next time!!

p.s.--don't even get me started on WHY the PUCK I have no water at home.

Canoehead is totally snowed in - 18" of snow and 4-6' drifts.

yeah, we said it shouldn't be a real issue for the Packers or Steelers except that they were looking forward to thawing out!! We'll be able to help them out with that by Friday but not till then it seems!

I'm letting my lunch settle and then gonna have hubby drive me to the gym-I've only driven in ice/snow twice before and once I did multiple 360's on an overpass so I'd just as soon not try again!

Snow is now predicted for Friday in Dallas!

:wave: All of the above!! Connor and the girls along with some of their friends did turn our street into an Ice rink yesterday. It was pretty funny, They had the nets out there too. Not something you see everyday in Texas! They played street hockey all day long. I don't know how they stayed out in that temp! I had to drive ummm I mean slide to the grocery store so I could feed all of them on their breaks! I am not attempting that again! We had our rolling black out(s) twice already today (once right when I was making my wakeup coffee) :bang: Now I figured out I have a frozen pipe in my kitchen!!!! Grrr probably due to the rolling blackouts!!! The kids are off another day so I won't be getting anything done today either. I better throw another log on the fire and just let the day flow as it will. It's out of my control!

:wave:Hey Kitty! That's what I heard early this morning on the news!! I would get out of here fast if I was you!! Sorry about the root canal!!😱 I have had one of those and it was not funn! Chris drove in to the office today. I on the other hand will not venture out today. I did that yesterday and survived and don't think I want to take my chances again! I am suppose to put Connor on a plane to Atlanta tomorrow for a hockey tournament. I am now wondering when we will get a break from this crappola!! I just had my 4th rolling power outage! I WISH I was out of here!!!!

I saw that we could have snow again on Friday as well but it's warming up Friday and Saturday so it wouldn't stick at least. My work decided at noon to go ahead and not open at 1pm afterall-duh!

I did slide into the gym for a 4 mile walk/jog-now called a wog at our house so I've been out of the house a little but it's too dang cold for me to want to play outside!
