No, I'm a native Atlantan, so I'm not trapped in Georgia. I adore Atlanta and spend a lot of time there. We ended up a UF because (a) UGA doesn't have engineering, and (b) at the time we went to grad school, UF had better programs in our areas of interest than Georgia Tech.

Actually I always cheer for Georgia unless they play UF or GT (where my daughter is a student).

She was at MIT but (a) hated being around people with no social skills, and (b) missed the South, including being able to go to our house on 30-A (instead of freezing her you-know-what off in Boston). She actually applied to and was accepted at UF (of course, since she got into MIT), but she went to GT to be closer to my husband who had just had open-heart surgery. Got the picture? 🙂

I hear ya. Is it sort of like Neiman Marcus InCircle points? When you get to 1000, you win prizes? One year we had so many points that we got a free trip to the Four Seasons in Maui. That hotel is awesome - you have your own private cabana at the pool, can close the curtains whenever privacy is desired, and they have pool attendants offering to spritz your face with icy-cold Perrier from a spray bottle.

It is on...and football is just a few weeks away. October 1 will be a big day for those Tide and Gator fans. I am huge college football fanatic. I get it bad this time every year. ROLL TIDE!!!!!!! I may have to take a thrashing from all of the Gator fans on this board, but I can handle it...BRING IT ON!!!! 😀
