Do Real Men Wear Pink?

Here's the deal. Merman and I bought kayaks last night. His is yellow. Mine is red. We got matching Personal Flotation Devices (they don't call 'em life vests anymore ;-) ) with color-coordinated trim. Mine is red. We got them on sale.

We also got paddles. Also on sale. Actually, on clearance. What landed them on the clearance rack in the height of the kayaking season? Wellll....they're pink. Pink with little white cloudy swirls. I think they're very elegant. Merman has another opinion. He balked at buying them but one can't overlook a $50 savings per paddle. (Money talks.)

So the question is, does Merman spray paint his paddles? Or do real men wear pink?

pink? no problem. when i was a suit, i had a couple of really nice pink dress shirts. love them against the right blue or grey suit, and of cours the perfect tie. no longer a suit, so i get to wear shorts year round. got no pink anymore.

I think men who are unfazed by pink are the 'manliest' of all. Just shows how secure they are about themselves. Confidence is sex-ay!

Merman has a stuffed head now from all the compliments. I told him to take a cold shower if he's so hot. :floor:

The paddles are pretty good, color notwithstanding, but I have a confession to make. I'm the one who wants to do a swap with SJ because I'm the one who has to look at Merman as he paddles, and it bugs the crap out of me that he has a nice yellow boat and a nice matching life vest...and a pink paddle!!! It offends my sense of aesthetics. :roll: I want a hubbie who's color coordinated. :oops:

No coins needed, Tootsie. SJ and I have worked a deal. He and my dear sweet husband are swapping paddles. I get a view that I like and SJ gets brand new paddles. It's a win/win situation.

Pink, I think, goes very well with the blue eyes that make all the ladies swoon. ;-)

funny, mr audie only stays with me to keep him in electronics... every day, i get this " umm, i ordered something from crutchfield today, or c.crane, or wherever " i am gonna have to get another job to support this addiction of his - oh yeah and to pay for vet bills....
