So the question is if you won that much money (all of it) what would you do with it? ;-) honestly

I WOULD BUY "SATISFACTION". WHICH IS MY MOTHER'S HOUSE IN GRAYTON THAT MY SELFISH AUNT IS FORCING HER TO SELL EVEN THOUGH IT HAS BEEN IN THE FAMILY FOR SIXTY PLUS YEARS.
Harriet. Sounds like a nasty family mess; sorry to hear about your mother's situation.

fix her up and restore her to the Grand Dame that she is!!!
Buy my parents a house.
And probably shop at Nordstrom a lot. Maybe even Saks. I would buy at least one ridiculous item, like a Birkin bag or Cartier watch. But then I would feel silly and never use it.
Guess my lucky sea bean I sent him with didn't work
There is so much that I could do with that kind of money. I always thought I would love to take all my friends & family on a 14 day cruise PLUS pay their salary for that time off. I would donate to charity...AND I would buy the Wash-Away![]()

Set up trust funds for my kids and my favorite nephewBuy my parents a house.
Start a cooking school free to school aged kids to help them learn to love, and understand cooking

I think you should just buy The Naked Chef, Jaime Oliver, and install him in the kitchen of the Washaway. Then we could come to Naked Chef cooking classes at your house.:clap_1: :clap_1: :clap_1: :clap_1: Excellent suggestion! Gives new meaning to "kiss the cook"

I'd:Great suggestions Paula!!!!
1. Pay off all debts (mine, family, and a couple of friends)
2. Since I wouldn't have to worry about retirement money, I'd be sure some of family member's didn't have to either (give them money to put away for retirement)
3. Get the kids' education all set, set up retirement plans for them, and set them up a little bit but not do too much for them financially directly and in the short-term because they'll need to earn their way in the world
4. I'd probably keep our Cottages at Camp Creek because they're sweet and we have a history there now (they're sentimental to us) and we like the location
5. Maybe get another bigger place in SoWal near our cottages because I like the idea of a lot of family members/friends being able to go there at the same time.
6. Get another place along the southern/middle Maine Coast and maybe in Tuscany.
7. Give money to foundations/charity, including: Cancer research, The American Association of University Women that gave me some funding for graduate school, my former colleges, foundations that provide programs for education for underpriviledged children -- help give the kids skills to be successful regardless of their current situation (and I'd probably do some teaching in that area as well which is one of the things I hope to do in retirement someday)
8. Arm wrestle competitors for the Naked Chef
9. Take cooking courses
10. Travel the beaches of the world, cruises
11. Get a physical trainer -- have someone plan out a reasonable health plan for me and manage me (e.g., healthy food, physical trainer, meditation)
12. Fly first class

Oh well, checked the numbers Mr. mango bought for me and I only got 2 numbers. The clerk in the store gave him 10 tickets with the same numbers on it![]()

Wonder if anyone won this time.

This sounds like Oprah's life!
well poo poo!!!
I used to buy lottery tickets here but every time I would be so crushed that I didn't win, but of course I wasn't expecting to, but still crushed...
maybe I need to start buying them again. you absolutely cannot win without a ticket. it only takes one...
1. Pay off all of our debts.BR, fire that nasty child-hating choir director and hire a nicer one. ;-)
2. Stash away enough so our daughter could live a comfortable (she can pay for extravagant) life and we are assured of living out our senior years with dignity and comfort, having enough money to pay for high-quality care in case we need to be in a long-term nursing home. (My recent experience with my Mom's Alzheimer's has shocked me. I had no clue how incredibly expensive that's going to be.)
3. Make a significant donation to our church.
4. Make a significant donation to Tulane University.
5. Give enough money to UF so that the departments from which my husband and I got our Ph.D.'s would be named after us.

I need you to come live with me so I know what I did yesterday.Well, if it's important/necessary/critical information you need me to remember, no can do. I'm only good for useless tidbits that take up valuable memory space. Oh, with the exception of memorized number sequences including, but not limited to: my driver's license number, my library card number, my dad's social security number...

[/b]I guess that's better than Rain Pea!
we'll just call you "Rain Pod"
BR, fire that nasty child-hating choir director and hire a nicer one. ;-)I was indirectly involved in his firing. He was a talented musician, but, well, you know some of his faults. We've hired an interim person. Only problem: it's hard to find a talented musician who has social and organizational skills. I think those skills involve different parts of the brain (left vs right?).
