20 years ago this was satire. Today it's the GOP party platform.

of course you assume Hillary will be around

of course you assume Hillary will be aroundIf she gets off the hook in a legal sense, absolutely.

I don't like the system of money in politics, and that corporations now own the US government. I want that to change and appreciate Sanders.
But there's no denying Hillary Clinton is the most qualified candidate in my lifetime, probably any other since the job is much more complex. The race shouldn't even be close. The fact that anyone else is getting any consideration at all illustrates how mindless American citizens have become.
She knows all the world's countries, their leaders, our allies and enemies. She has intelligence and stamina. She has competent people ready to lead. She even knows which floorboards creak in the white house.

there's no way Cruz could beat her...I expect Trump to flame out soon enough. And if Trump doesn't "flame out", then what? Would you vote for him over Hillary? My money is on "yes".

Trump has my vote!
SoWal Insider
Trump isn't going to last. I wish he would be the nominee, but even I don't believe the rightwing hates the country that much especially after Dubya.

I will grant that Trump is the least repugnant Republican in the running. This is assuming that Trump and Cruz are the only ones in the running.
SoWal Insider
"Trump is the least repugnant Republican in the running". This has got to be the low-water mark for the Republican Party, if not the entire electoral process.

Just think if you were tall, dark and unrepugnant.
SoWal Insider
Tall, dark, unrepugnant...sounds like Obama.

Trump has my vote!Care to let us know how you feel about his comments about Mexicans, Muslims, and Women?

But yes, Trump is a tool bag and Cruz is just flat out scary. It is too bad that you have to be an idiot to get press these days. Kasich and Christie aren't bad, Kasich actually has some interesting ideas The Kasich Action Plan
I do not understand why to be fiscally and a bit...a very little bit.. socially conservative, that you have to quote the bible and carry a weapon.

He's playing off the extreme anger of the middle class. I would not vote for him.

I would vote for Kasich

I would vote for KasichIf you get the chance. It could happen, but I wouldn't bet on it. Interesting that he's resisted the pull of right wing insanity. Because of that, I would bet against him being the nominee. He would certainly do better in November than any of the other GOP candidates. On top of not being bat-s**t crazy, he could score Ohio.

The Kasich Action Plan is missing one key element, securing the nomination. Whatever you're smoking, I want some.

No out of context he's a dick.
Sorry it took a while to get back to you Leader. I was out living life.. I see you have descended down into name calling which means intelligent discussion is over.

Good to see you have a life, I was beginning to wonder.

If I had to choose I would take democratic socialism over fascism any day of the year. Sanders vs Trump (or Cruz) is like FDR vs Joe McCarthy.
Beach FanaticAuthor
Yeah Joe McCarthy, George Wallace, David Duke, that's kinda where we're at right now with the GOP front runners.

My question is, are any of you leaving the country if one of the politicians you despise gets elected? I only ask, because I will donate to assist in buying the tickets, with one caveat... you can't come back. The United States is a great country in spite of who gets elected. Sometimes she struggles but she is still able to right herself.

Don't forget that one of those nuts could be in charge of the END of everything.

As much as I may agree, I am a citizen of this great country and wouldn't want to live anywhere else in the world.
