The need to know the identity of the whistleblower is just plain bizarre. The whistleblower merely provided a lead to a series of offenses that have been corroborated multiple times. I liken the whistleblower to someone who sees a warehouse fire and pulls an alarm. In this case, the actual fire equates to the incriminating evidence of impeachable offenses put forth in transcripts and testimony. Now imagine if in the case of the fire, the firemen refused to try to extinguish the flames of the raging inferno until they knew who pulled the fire alarm. They insisted that the man had a bias against warehouses, and that the flames, smoke and intense heat were all just a hoax.
