One of the few pieces of legislation Senator Hillary Clinton cosponsored and the Supreme Court found it unconstitutional.

Clearly there should be legislation...Your post tells us nothing about your position. What do think of Trump's proposal to strip citizenship?

Cute. But the constitution doesn't directly address flag burning.
Likely because the founders, while brilliant, probably couldn't concieve a non enemy doing such.

Flag burning is more important to you than installing billionaires to important positions of power in the US government?

I've not noted any particular level of importance the issue is to me.
I've also not injected a non sequitur.

You brought the subject up. You didn't bring up the subject of billionaires being installed in positions of power. Correct?
SoWal Insider
So state your position on flag burning as if it really mattered to anyone.

Well, clearly you think this is an important subject. Correct? Let's hear your views on flag burning, for God's sake!!! This is really important!!!

If it's really important, Lars, you can launch a campaign to have an amendment to the constitution. It's a long hard road, about as hard to accomplish as repealing the 2nd amendment, but if you do it, be sure to ban paper plate American Flags and bikini American Flags. Glad to see you are interested in something important.

It's freedom of expression covered by the first amendment. Even Scalia said as much. As far as Hillary, I don't see what that has to do with anything. I'm sure I'd have plenty to disagree about If she were president.

Clueless. Typical.
I posted it wasn't as important to me as you'd like to think.
Apparently the point of the thread was missed by some.
But since its my thread, I'll indulge.
- burning the flag was deemed legal by The Court. The same court can deem it Illegal. It doesn't take a constitutional amendment.
- yes one can legally burn The Flag. But it doesn't mean one should.
- just as it would be ill advised to use the N word in a Harlem bar at 2am...I wouldn't suggest burning the flag outside the "safe space" of a college campus or a protest.

The only way it can be deemed illegal is if enough justices misinterpret the constitution. Interesting that some poor snowflakes are triggered by something like this. Sound like they are the ones who need a safe space.

The folks getting all triggered over the flag being burned. These folks? Snowflakes?
Beach Fanatic
These folks? Snowflakes?Well they are overly sensitive if they get triggered into committing acts of violence over free expression. Perhaps they need a safe space and some cocoa.

I guess we could be talking about what Trump's solution is to the growing danger of North Korea's nuclear program, or his plan for defeating ISIS, or his plan for replacing Obamacare with something "hugely better", but nah, this is definitely more important... hey Lars, make sure you don't get potato salad on the flag, or you'll lose you might lose your citizenship.
