I guess we could be talking about what Trump's solution is to the growing danger of North Korea's nuclear program, or his plan for defeating ISIS, or his plan for replacing Obamacare with something "hugely better", but nah, this is definitely more important... hey Lars, make sure you don't get potato salad on the flag, or you'll lose you might lose your citizenship.Obamas last 8 years on N Korea? Obama's sucesses defeating the "JV" ISIS? The Obama Care fraud that has cost jobs and doctors and caused my premium to rise again this year? The one even Bill Clinton criticized?

Still living in the past, Lars...there's a bright new future with Trump tackling tough issues like broadway musicals, SNL, and flag burning. I'm sure his cabinet of billionaires will make it right for the middle class, ya think?

And I'm certain those middle class Indy Carrier AC employees are feeling quite blessed today.
I'm also certain Hillary wouldn't have done a dam thing to try and keep those jobs from going south.
Trumps not even sworn in yet and he's working for the folks.

Keep defending your boy. 15.5 million private sector jobs in the last 80 months under Obama. What was the job growth trend under Bush? Please remind us. Trump saved Carrier jobs just like he saved the Ford jobs. Taking credit for work done by others. Ask the 1100 who are losing their jobs to Mexico how it feels and then wait for things to cool down and the "saved jobs" will move south also. It's bait and switch. Carrier is still going to move manufacturing to Mexico. I'll believe Trump is serious when he brings his Trump branded product manufacturing to the US. Shouldn't a President lead by example. Why doesn't he want American workers to make his products?

Cute. But the constitution doesn't directly address flag burning.
Likely because the founders, while brilliant, probably couldn't concieve a non enemy doing such.
Burning a flag is a symbolic free speech action to speak against a government and its policies.
But if they really want to protest the Republican PE and Republican ‘values’ they should burn the Confederate flag instead.

Trump had a different take on flag burning when he visited David Letterman last year
Nothing Don the Con says has any value, credibility, or merit. Every word is a dodge, a lie, or a nonsensical boast and flag burning is a nonsense issue to get the based base riled up before he goes on his victory tour. For you Hillary bashers the ban Hillary advocated was to ban flag burning as a method of intimidation like burning a cross not as a method of free speech or political protest. FYI other countries that had flag burning bans-Nazi Germany, Soviet Union, Chile under Pinochet and Apartheid South Africa.

For all the winners, there are potential losers. It's definitely an example of government poking its nose into business. Not very Republican if you ask me.
What just happened with Carrier is crazy
To reach the deal, Indiana reportedly offered the heating and air conditioning company $7 million in new tax incentives, more than 4 times the previous inducement. So in that regard, Trump may have helped Carrier get a better deal. And there’s no federal commitment—the money will supposedly come from Indiana, courtesy of Hoosier taxpayers.
Tax breaks also create perverse incentives. Companies, for instance, have learned to play one state off another when angling for the best tax deal they can get for a new plant or facility. When the state of Connecticut wouldn’t lower General Electric’s taxes, it decided to move its headquarters to Boston, where it got a much better deal. Companies could do the same thing at the federal level by threatening to move jobs out of the country, to see what Trump might offer them to stay.
Tax incentives that offset the cost of labor also give companies a stronger incentive to substitute automation and other types of technology for labor, as long as they’re not committed to a minimum number of jobs. That way, employers can benefit from tax breaks while still lowering labor costs by replacing people with machines.
It’s also obvious that Trump can’t negotiate tax incentives one-by-one with every company that’s considering offshoring jobs. Republicans have said for decades that the government shouldn’t be in the business of picking winners and losers, and it should stay out of the way instead of trying to influence corporate decision-making. Trump obviously feels differently. A lot of CEOs should probably start to prepare for an unexpected phone call.

Not living in the past at all. And I'm certain those middle class Indy Carrier AC employees are feeling quite blessed today.Tell us the size of the tariff Trump imposed on Carrier to force them to stay in the US.

There have to be consequences when they leave,” he said at a rally Wednesday. “You’re going to pay a damn tax when you leave this country.”… “You’re looking at a situation in our country where our jobs are being ripped out of our states … like candy from a baby............... Donald Trump
If a company wants to fire their workers in North Carolina or in this country, move to another country and then try to ship their product back into the United States, we will apply a 35% tax to those................Donald Trump

More clueless drivel from the Left ^^^Hey willfully ignorant, Trump's deal with Carrier moves 1300 jobs to Mexico with zero penalties, in fact, they were rewarded with tax breaks! Even the WSJ says it's a bad deal.

What just happened with Carrier is crazy
It would take a "Carrier-sized" deal per week for Trump to save as many jobs as Obama did in the auto bailout according to Paul Krugman's figures.
When CBS's Scott Pelli asked Gov. Mike Pence about using tariffs to level the playing field and make offshoring less attractive, Pence evaded the question. ....... I guess it makes more of a show/splash to "save" 800 jobs using Indiana taxpayer dollars to pay Carrier employee salaries (even salaries of an extra 300(?) who's jobs weren't even slated to go to Mexico.) Such a deal!!! Unless you're an Indiana taxpayer.

Regarding flag burning: Molly Ivins had a great quote from years ago on that. Something to the effect of prefer flag burning and wrapping yourself in the constitution as opposed to burning the constitution and wrapping yourself in the flag.

So the p***y grabbing man with the golden toilet seat and his shell game have made the citizens of Indiana who voted for him bend over and take it in the @#$ while Carrier gets their money and sends another 1300 more jobs out of the country. Since most manufacturing jobs are lost due to automation and the technology carrier is using is over 50 years old would it not have been better to retrain and educate the workers? Just wonder going forward if Don the Con is going to punish all these companies who threaten to leave with millions in taxpayer dollars and billions in government contracts. That’s sure going to learn em. Corporate welfare? I’ll give credit where credit is due though I don't think any president elect in history settled a suit for fraud and racketeering faster than Trump did. And only 73 more lawsuits to go!
Where credit is really due 178,000 jobs created in November unemployment down to 4.6%. Thanks Obama!!
