the entire economy has been propped up by the Fed since '08...The Fed has reinflated the stock market, and to a lesser extent the housing market. The labor force participation rate is horrible. The participation rate is mainly due to discouraged workers dropping out. I'm looking for an uptick in the participation rate now that we have a pro business President. If the velocity of money increases by allowing the large banks to lend and change their business model from stealing through fees, every metric will turn in the right direction. Obama never showed much leadership in this area.Hillary ignored the issue, and the Rust Belt kicked her in the ass. Dodd-Frank can go in the can with Obamacare, and the result will be an upturn.

the real number is not disclosed. No one believes 4.6 percent.

If I burn a Made In China flag do I still lose citizenship? What about burning an American flag paper plate or napkin in the campfire? Burning the flag is one of the proper ways of disposing of a retired flag. Will that now become grounds for loss of citizenship? What about the Russian flag? So many questions.

QE stopped years ago. Besides growth and good market indicators corporate buybacks have been the prime mover of the markets along with manic speculaton for the entire past 8 years since March 2009. Corporates are now pouring 102% of their earnings plus vast amounts of borrowed money into stock buybacks and were putting in around 95% of their corporate earnings into dividends and stock buybacks for the entire time period since March 2009.

70 million of those NOT in the labor force are retired, students, or disabled.

Part time jobs are about 5% of total jobs….close to the long term average.

Discouraged workers (U6) are down from 14.2% when Bush left office to 9.3% now.

Unemployment is down from 7.8% when Bush left office to 4.6% now.

To match Obama’s record, Trump has to get unemployment down to 1.7% and U6 down to 4.4%.

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau part of the Dodd- Frank Wall Street Reform bill allowed consumers who have been victims of corporate scams to get billions in restitution that they would not have been able to otherwise. That’s a bad thing? The ACA? How has it killed jobs? What is your solution to insure the nation? Pray you don’t get sick and if you do die? Both are not perfect but a good start.

Once again Lars, the ban Hillary advocated was to ban flag burning as a method of intimidation like burning a cross not as a method of free speech or political protest. Big difference from incarceration and stripping ones citizenship for exercising your rights to free speech.
