Day 5:

Oddly enough I'm craving them, but I don't have the urge to do it. Who wants to waste 5 days? I have been able to avoid the smell for the most part and I don't really know any smokers. I did wait until MK left town though. ;-)

I even passed the Gin challenge the other day and didn't require nicotine after 3 gimlets. This just might not be that bad.

This is very good news. About the smell. In a shorter time than you think you will either be totally indifferent to the smell and/or you won't even like the smell. And of course we knew you could pass the Gin challenge! Lots of ex-smokers have enough wherewithall to drink and not smoke. The two often go hand-in-hand, of course, but that doesn't mean you can't break up that cozy little twosome. Especially if you like to drink better than you like to smoke. :rotfl:

Good for you, SWGB. My husband smoked for 55 years, 2 1/2 packs every day. He quit four years ago and does not miss them. He did gain about 7 -10 pounds but that came off with no sweat. You can do it too.

There will be sweat, after June 1 if I move there's sweat, but thanks for the encouragement.

Trying to get out to the beach more. Went this afternoon with the munchkin and DS. We had a great time playing in the outfall and trying to catch things.
