For some reason I can't see it - is it possible for you to cut and paste?

Given all of the lies and complete nonsense in food labeling, I would love to see a list of inexpensive everyday items that have actually been tested and found to be happily lacking in additives and pesticides.

Except that there is more to organic than just pesticides. The fertilizer, GMO (corn), crop rotation, etc...

BUT still a very good list - especially when we have to pick what is MOST important to get organic - like celery. I've heard it is sprayed mucho!

Thanks for this info.

According to what I read in that story, USDA organic label means non GMO, also no chmical fertilizers or pesticides, and for meats, no hormones or antibiotics. I had not known previously that the USDA organic label meant that much.

But the comments about specific foods left me a little uncertain, since many of them said the thick skin protected the food from pesticides. What about the systemic ones that are sprayed on the plant or added to the irrigation water, so that the enire plant absorbs them?

....I hear strawberries are some of the most-sprayed, also grapes and apples, so better to get those organic. Stone fruits in general, also, I think.

I love it that someone is going to the trouble to research this and publish lists like this to help us out. Thanks, Bob!
