How exciting. Bruce Cosson has just provided me with a picture of an 1812 button found in the Alaqua area, Walton County's first county seat. The Cosson family suffered much during WWII, along with many other Walton County families in the Alaqua area, who had their land acquired for Eglin AFB. Bruce just posted this button from 1812. What a history Walton County has!
