When A Man Loves A Woman
There was a club near the Greenville-Spartanburg airport on Pelham Road where we celebrated our first anniversary. Percy Sledge was the entertainer. When he started singing our song ("When A Man Loves A Woman") as his finale, we'd had a few adult beverages, and we jumped up on stage and started dancing with him. After the the stage was raised into the ceiling as usual for that venue, we rode up with Percy. He gave us anniversary greetings afterward.
Our daughter picked her wedding date on June 19 because it was the night before our 40th anniversary on June 20. The DJ played our song at the reception.
Happy 19th, RO and GB.
