Well, regretfully Im putting my 1980 CJ-7 up for sale. Ihate to get rid of this thing, but as things go, I no longer have the time,energy, or money to put into it to make it the jeep that it still could be. Iwill list things as honestly as I can. I have lived in Wyoming for the past 3 years. I bought thisjeep in the fall of 2011, while I was living in Cheyenne, Wyoming. I actuallybought it from my neighbor, who bought it from a guy in north Wyoming who hadoriginally started it as a project for him and his son. This jeep wasreligiously garage-kept in Wyoming. Now Im in Pensacola, and I have no garage.But I have kept this jeep in my storage unit. This jeep runs good!
-AMC 360 V8 (came from an older jeep wagoner), with 4-speed
-New clutch, distributor, wires, and plugs
-solid body
-original hard top (fair condition), bikini top, and softtop
-dual turbo mufflers
-lift with 33’s
-inside tup and roll bar have been sprayed with liner coat
Heres a list ofthings that need attention:
-the wipers do not work. Motor turns on, but wipers do notrotate
-This jeep needs a good paint job. Currently has a primercoat
-As you can see, there is some rust on the windshield frame,and underside
-I recently blew one of the mufflers out, so I will begetting that replaced within the next few weeks, plus having the brakeschecked.
Im asking $7000, no less/no more. That is less than what Icurrently have invested in this jeep. Please, only serious offers! Like I said,this is a great running jeep for somebody who wants to put the time and moneyin to further restore. I just don’t have the time/resources to do it.
