Walton County Board of County Commissioners meeting scheduled for 9 a.m. on May 24 at the Walton County Courthouse in DeFuniak Springs. On the agenda are some approvals related to the SLERS radio system and a discussion of a panhandling/solicitation special events policy, along with other items. With due respect to our local charities, I wish Walton County would just do away with the so-called "bucket drives" on 30-A. And don't get me started about the tacky Redfish Village guys waving signs while standing on the county right-of-way (instead of their own property) urging us to buy their fine condos...
