St. Joe announces that Camp Creek Golf Club, the award-winning Tom Fazio layout along Northwest Florida?s stunning Gulf Coast, will host the 4th Annual Sacred Heart Charity Golf Classic on May 9.
This celebrity event will benefit Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast. On-hand to support the event?s goal of raising $100,000 will be a number of PGA and Champions Tour players, who will teach a skills clinic and partner with each foursome during the 18-hole, ?Play with a Pro? tournament.
Other highlights among the day-long event include tee gifts, a long drive exhibition by renowned professional Brian Pavlet, lunch and refreshments and an Awards Ceremony Luau at the chic and internationally acclaimed WaterColor Inn. Past golfing celebrities to participate include Jim Dent, Joe Durant, John Mahaffey, Jerry Pate, Sammy Rachels and many more.
?Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast focuses on providing state-of-the-art healthcare options to our community,? says Sheryl Johnston, development manager for Sacred Heart Foundation. ?This event has raised more than $550,000 the past three years.?
Sacred Heart is a 50-bed community hospital that opened the hospital in Walton County in January 2003. In its first two years, the hospital has continued to add new physicians specialists and new services, including a radiation therapy center, heart rehabilitation program, dialysis services and an expanded Emergency Department.
?Everyone at Camp Creek and St. Joe is honored to be part of such a wonderful event,? says Camp Creek?s Head Golf Professional Peter Burke. ?We couldn?t be happier to give something back to the community that has shown us so much support.?
