Canadian musician and co-founders of animal rescue group, Ladybird Animal Sanctuary, head south this December to share their music for the good of animals in need. Melissa McClelland, Janine Stoll and Lisa Winn are award-winning, critically acclaimed singer/songwriters from Canada who toured together and released a live recording under the name “Ladybird Sideshow.”
While in Florida, the Ladybirds will work with Laurie Hood, director of Alaqua Animal Refuge, to gain knowledge on the successful operation of the shelter. “We look forward to learning from the best at Alaqua, and sharing our music in return. We plan on taking some of that Florida warmth back with us to Canada to help more animals in need.” says Melissa McClelland. www.MelissaMcclelland.com
Tickets are $20 at www.AlaquaAnimalRefuge.org. The concert is presented by Rosemary Beach Foundation and sponsored by Cultural Arts Alliance and Rosemary Beach Property Owners’ Association. Proceeds benefit Alaqua Animal Refuge.
