..to you, my adopted community, for giving me this forum for sharing info, and for working through all the emotional turmoil the past few days. Because of our ties to the Gulf, we may be a little more tied in to this tragedy than others. I feel a kinship with you folks, and I'm finding that just keeping the forum available on my browser has been a very real comfort. Thanks for the strength and inspiration. It feels strange to say that since I've not met most of you, but it's a plain fact, and I'm not afraid to admit it. I'm proud to know you guys.

Well said Katie. Had it not been for this board I would not have seen the post yesterday for the family of 6 needing a home for awhile. I have been able to arrange for those folks to have a home until at least Dec. 30th if they need it. They are proud and wonderful people. They have asked us to stop by and meet them next week when we are down.

They have 2 children that are 10 mos and 4 yrs old. The Father-in -Law has some health problems that will be handled next week in Ft. Wal. The spirit these folks have demonstrated has given "grace under fire" new meaning to me.

So thank you Kurt and all for this board. This board and the folks who post on it are making a difference in the lives of those who need a little help from us all right now.

I am not surprised by your thoughts KB...this has been the a place of comfort and joy through the days of horror. Your heart and talent are so evident and please know YOU have been a source of calm for so many. I look forward to your lyrics inspired by the past few days. And yes, there must be hope and faith above all else.

Hey Katie: I could tell you and your husband are very nice people when I met into you both on the beach at sunset a few weeks ago. It's fun to meet people from this message group in person.
