Does anyone know the details about the accident yesterday on Mack Bayou Road? There's a short blurb about it in the Daily News, but it doesn't say much. Our power was out for about 4 hours last night.

What I heard

I was in the deli section at Publix just after the accident and heard a bit about it. Evidently, the driver works at Grand Blvd Publix. He was taken to Sacred Heart in Pensacola, but called someone at work, from the scene, to say what had happened. I think he was on a break. The sources of my info were a deli employee and the Mom of a friend who is very close to the driver. She was pretty upset. I sure hope the young man behind the wheel is going to be OK.
