Dunno, I heard a ton of sirens and assumed all hell had broken loose, but never heard an accident report. :dunno:

When I drove by the little white pickup was hanging upside down. Not sure how they could get airborne driving down a straight road. While repairing the power line, power was out for several hours all up Mack Bayou including Driftwood Estates. There was another nasty accident right after that one by Silver Sands.

It's usually caused by someone going off the road and over correcting. That can cause the vehicle to roll.

MIRAMAR BEACH - A 21-year-old man suffered a seizure and lost control of the vehicle that collided with a utility pole near Mack Bayou Drive Monday afternoon.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, Gary Walden lost control of his 2006 Chevrolet truck after the seizure and traveled onto the west shoulder of County Road 457. The truck collided with the utility pole and rotated clockwise before rolling onto the roof.
Walden was taken to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola for minor injuries. He was wearing his seatbelt and alcohol was not a factor in the crash, the report said.

Sacred heart will tell you it is due to lack of a Trauma unit, but its more than likely really due to lack of insurance.

Being a manager at Sacred Heart I can assure you that it has nothing to do with insurance! Shame on you for even making such a comment without knowing your facts.

Wow.. sorry my past personal experience offended you... maybe it was before you became employed by them.

The newspaper isn't always right, believe it or not...

Based on the mechanism of injury and the condition/symptoms of the patient, he was trauma alerted and airlifted to SHHP.

JodiFL, I can assure you that the decision to transport to SHHP had nothing to do with insurance. SWFD doesn't do "wallet biopsies". Nor does SHEC.
