Do you love children and have an interest in gaining teaching experience in an authentic Montessori environment? Bay Grove Montessori School, formerly known as Sweetbay Montessori School, located off 331-S in Freeport, Florida, is searching for an individual to coordinate our new Aftercare Enrichment Program for students ages 3-9 years old. Individuals must respect children, be patient, understand childhood development, encourage children to be independent, and model appropriate behavior. Level II Background screening required, DCF Staff Credential preferred.
In our efforts to connect students with local community members who offer expertise in a particular enrichment area e.g., Yoga, languages, pottery, gardening, drumming, piano, dance, painting, etc.), we aim for our aftercare enrichment activities to be led by guest instructors. As the lead coordinator, you would be responsible for leading, assisting guest instructors, and participating in the Aftercare Enrichment Program to ensure that school policies and procedures related to child safety and the Montessori learning approach are followed.
The position is part-time, approximately 22.5/week, dependent on family enrollment numbers (1:30pm-6:00pm Monday – Friday, to follow school calendar). Hourly Rate: $16-18/hr.
