Money has so corrupted our political process that it will take years to fix. We will soon see a 1 billion dollar POTUS election price tag, millions on the state level and hundreds of thousands for legislative seats. Look at our local elections, only one or two choices with some races not even drawing an opponent. The reason people cannot run is the cost of financing a race. Probably 50,000 for a commission race, 25,000 for school board and 75-100,000 for a constitutional office. To raise this type of money you are either wealthy or you sell your soul to the devil.

Follow the money trail if you want to know why Obama has responded like he has.:bang:

Its stories like this....

Its stories like this that make me really treasure the valuable advice and pearls of wisdom that Mexico's President Calderon shared with America and our leaders on his last visit.

What could be more valuable that insights from the man who leads such a well run, ethical and compassionate country. It adds so much more meaning to his criticism of our country.

From ABC News "Arizona Cops Threatened by Mexican Drug Cartel":

A Mexican drug cartel has threatened police officers in Arizona who confiscated a marijuana shipment, prompting the small town department to warn its officers to remain armed and have radios with them at all times, and keep their body armor handy.

Police and experts believe the warning against the Nogales, Ariz., cops marks the first time that powerful Mexican drug cartels, used to bribing and bullying police south of the border, have targeted U.S. officers.

Jeffrey Kirkham, chief of the Nogales police department, told ABCNews.com that informants had delivered the threats after two off-duty police officers seized 400 pounds of marijuana while horseback riding outside the city earlier this month. The pot was worth about $250,000, he said.

Kirkham said informants have told his police department that off-duty officers should ignore cross-border drug shipments or face retaliation.

Meanwhile, this Administration sues AZ and refuses to secure the border. (In fairness, every other administration has also refused to secure our borders too.)

You have to wonder what special interest is behind this.

I read that Mexico is joining the suit with the WH against AZ. When a foreign country can sue a state of the UNITED states of America, things are looking bleak for our country. There should be Marine snipers and troops immediately sent there to take out the gangs and rescue the innocent. There is no law enforcement that will even go there. They are outgunned and outnumbered. This in our country? and our government is watching from the sidelines and lining up lawyers?? WTF is this world coming to? I'm going to go drink and hopefully walk on a clean beach. :bang:

Yet again America has given in to the demands of big business. Big Business controls America, and they control our government, regardless of who is in office.

Past and current administrations sold out to big Oil and you see where that got us. :sosad:

And now big business has convinced our government that the situation in Arizonia will be a determint to the economy of America. The real determint is that business might have to make less of a profit, and not be able to pay the big bonuses to the Czars of America, CEOs.
