What about Cypress Breeze? Went through there the other day, my impression is that there are some very good buys relative to the market as a whole but the negatives seem to be 1) a hike to beach 2) land is bare and not that pretty 3) seems to be no arch standards 4) strange pool (op costs??) and 5) very few lots built out. Most of all, seems that every lot and house in there is for sale. Be interested in opinions.

The one with the Flintstones-theme waterpark? IMO it is a case of "Developer Gone Wild." He's even suggested maybe making the pool available to the public (obviously to cover the costs of his folly)--discussed on another thread.

Looks like you've hit on most of the negatives! When I drove through there a few years ago it was after a rain and I found myself driving through quite a bit of water. This was a while ago, so maybe the drainage issues have been solved. IMHO many of the houses in there just don't look right. Details are missing or something.

Years ago that road led to a very large cypress swamp that, in roughly 1976, swallowed a souped-up 4wd Ford F250 whole. Only having gone down there once - to witness the attempt to retrieve afore-mentioned truck - I think the swamp was past where Cypress Breeze is now, roughly halfway to Blue Mountain Beach.

Still, I would imagine the water table is fairly high...and that's a heckuva pool.

I was wondering why this has taken so long to build out...does anyone know what B/O timing is there? Only a few homes have been built.
