You may be thinking of Nature Walk of Seagrove, but they are no longer doing equestrian. There will be a new Kelly Plantation in Freeport that will be an equestrian development.
There was also one in Freeport off Jolly Bay road that they sold several 10 acre parcels in a couple of years ago. They sold about 1/2 of it I think and then the developer kept the rest.
There is another one, selling reservations as I type, which is located north of Bruce.
The State is currently in the process of building trails through the State Forest, north of 98.
The problem with equestrian developments is that they are extremely expensive for developers because they have to leave so much acreage dedicated to horses. I can't remember the exact ratio--2 acres per horse, or 2 horses per acre. It doesn't make sense economically unless a developer is able to get a huge tract of land for a good price. Good prices are pretty much over around here.
