In its 35th year, ArtsQuest Fine Arts Festival is planned for May 13th-14th, 2023! Produced by the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County and presented by Grand Boulevard Town Center, ArtsQuest provides an opportunity to view and purchase original art from over 100 artists from around the country.

ArtsQuest is a juried show that includes artists in the categories of Ceramics, Fiber, Glass, Jewelry, Metal, Mixed Media, Oils & Acrylics, Original Digital Art, Photography, Sculpture, Wood and Works on Paper (Watercolor, Printmaking, Pastels, Pencils, Ink). ArtsQuest awards $10,000 in cash prizes.

The rain or shine event also features live performances, artist demonstrations, ImagiNation: where kids rule, food, beverages and more! Join us in the Town Center of Grand Boulevard, from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 13th and again on Sunday, May 14th, 10am - 5pm. A $5 donation will be accepted at the entrance gate.

ArtsQuest, the 35th annual fine arts festival produced by the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County (CAA), is pleased to announce the 2023 Festival’s Featured Artist, Dallas Primavera.

His custom artworks titled “Awaiting Luka'', "Hamlet" and “Morning Glory Humming” will be the featured images on all ArtsQuest marketing materials. Primavera’s work will be featured at ArtsQuest, a Mother’s Day weekend tradition taking place May 13th & 14th in Grand Boulevard’s Town Center and North Park.

ArtsQuest will feature over 120 other artists exhibiting and selling their work in Grand Boulevard’s North Park. Mediums include Ceramics, Sculpture, Glass, Oils, Acrylics, Mixed Media, Photography, Sculpture, Metal and Wood, Jewelry, Works on Paper, and more.

The Festival will offer art demonstrations, a CAA member gallery featuring many artists from The Foster Gallery, a Walton County student exhibit, a special exhibit from the CAA’s Prison Art program, continuous live music and entertainment, and “ImagiNation: where kids rule.”

Continuing this year is the popular Art on Demand Live series featuring educational sessions throughout the weekend with local artists including Justin Gaffrey and Justin Gaffrey, Jr. Interested participants may register for these sessions on the Cultural Arts Alliance website in advance of the event.

ArtsQuest is a rain or shine event. The festival is open to the public, and a $5 admission donation is requested. A full cash bar will be available throughout the weekend in Grand Park.

Join premier local artist Justin Gaffrey in creating your own bright, bold, Abstract Floral artwork. Justin is the founder of the iconic acrylic sculpting paint company gaffrey art material. You will be provided with exclusive Gaffrey Art Material products to swipe, pipe, and sculpt unique florals out of paint. Justin will provide individualized instruction throughout class, and you will go home with your own 16x20 Abstract Floral painting.

From the basics of mixing colors, to the art of decorative piping and palette knife techniques on "cake blanks”, Justin Jr will take you through an exciting class where you'll learn how to turn desserts into works-of-art using only gaffrey art material acrylic paints. This highly engaging lesson will help you understand the texture & structure of 3D painting on and off the canvas, blurring the lines of painting and sculpture. Participants will be able to create a unique artistic cake with their ideas with an assortment of colors to choose from. This class is suitable for all skill levels.

ArtsQuest includes a CAA Member Artist Gallery, student exhibitions, live art demonstrations, a special exhibit from the CAA’s Prison Art Program, Art on Demand LIVE workshops, continuous live music, delicious food and beverage options, ImagiNation: where kids rule, and an exhibition of two of the newest Underwater Museum of Art sculptures!

This is a rain or shine event open to the public Saturday, May 13, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. and Sunday, May 14, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. A $5 - $10 donation per person is requested at the gate.

Resin Art Cheese Boards

Enjoy a fun afternoon creating your own cheese boards with using a food safe tinted epoxy resin. Participants will learn how to prepare the boards, mix and tint the resin, apply it to the board and finish.

✨ Back by popular demand this year at ArtsQuest, the CAA is excited to bring its virtual Art on Demand series back to the event. ✨

Art on Demand LIVE interactive workshops, presented by The Alys Foundation, are scheduled throughout the festival weekend and include some of our best-loved episodes as well as fun, NEW workshops!

Participants can take a painting session with local artists including Justin Gaffrey, Dorothea Berkhout and Justin Gaffrey Jr., make a mug with Courtney Krempa, create a fused glass flower with Gisselle Barnhart and a resin cheese board with Barbara Suhadolnik. So many fun options, take one or take them all!

Workshops are ticketed separately and registration is available at CulturalArtsAlliance.com/upcoming-events.
