South Walton Montessori Academy is seeking a full time Assistant to work in the Lower Elementary classroom starting August 2017. (Lower El works with 1st, 2nd and 3rd graders.) The ideal candidate will be positive, dependable and familiar with the Montessori philosophy. We are looking for someone that is peaceful and self motivated. The Assistant/Co Teacher should have the ability to form close relations with staff, parents and students. This is a full time job from August through May. We follow a similar calendar as Walton County public schools. Compensation based on experience and health insurance is offered. Our non-profit school is designed to nurture the development of the whole child through creative discovery and interaction with teachers, peers, and materials. We believe in preparing an enthusiastic environment that will nurture the growing child. Our curriculum fosters intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development and prepares our children to be global citizens. We are looking for a candidate who is dedicated to a long term partnership with our school.
