Inspired by coastal cuisine around the world, The Citizen is a seaside tavern located within the town center of Alys Beach, which is situated along Florida’s scenic Highway 30A. Here, local and seasonal ingredients drive the inspiration for both the food and beverage program. Guests have a choice between an 18-seat bar, a 12-seat raw bar, or the 120-seat dining room. The fresh and vibrant flavors of The Citizen are showcased in a variety of menu items, many of which will be cooked over a wood-fired hearth, offering a nod to coastal, Southern fare.
The Citizen is actively seeking experienced and passionate bar professionals to join the team. For this position, candidates must be able to wear many bar-focused hats and wear them well. He/She is responsible for conceptualizing and preparing creative and unique alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for patrons, possessing a strong understanding of the wine, beer, and spirits industry, interacting and engaging with customers, taking orders, assessing customer needs and preferences, and making appropriate recommendations. Additional responsibilities include restocking and replenishing bar inventory and supplies, complying with all food & beverage regulations, and ensuring an excellent guest experience.
Minimum Requirements:
· 3+ years of bartending experience; high-end restaurant experience is a plus
