PANAMA CITY ? Despite having the fewest amount of selling days, the number of Bay County homes sold in February increased while condos sales remained comparable to the previous year, according to data released Monday.
During the month 103 homes and 54 condos were sold.
?The numbers look very, very good,? said John Harrell, president of the Bay County Association of Realtors. ?Condo sales are still struggling a little, but condo sales normally increase during the spring and fall.?
Seventeen of Florida?s metropolitan statistical areas reported increased in existing home sales in February, while 18 had higher condo sales. This is the third month Florida Realtors, the statewide organization, has reported higher year-over-year home and condo sales.
?Investors are buying up what they consider to be good deals,? Harrell said. ?With the market improving, now is the time to buy.
